More or less normal.

In msia ambient, high 40s and low 50s as idle temp is normal for Zen 2 and 3.

Mid 40s. You won't get below 40s with Zen 2/3 on idle, not in Msia weather at least even if it's raining almost everyday now.

My ambient around 28-32C. H150i Elite Capellix can hit 75-78C on 5900X. Higher when gaming.

Unless go for full custom watercooling then possible the idle temp can dip below 40degree

Well yeah, as ive mentioned, amd is all about those cache. Take em away, the cores are pretty weak for a 7nm.

Probably explains why AMD is looking towards 3D stacked cache for more performance hmm.gif

Also, as a comparison with the 11400, 5600G has a faster GPU but performs worse overall when using a discrete card. It doesn't make it a worthy buy for gaming systems where folks are holding on to integrated graphics while waiting for RTX prices to drop.
*
To be fair though if you need to game while waiting for a proper GPU, the 5600G isn't too bad, and depending on the motherboard you can move to a proper Zen 3 chip like the 5600X or the 5800X in the future with a BIOS update and a CPU swap (along with a cooler upgrade) icon_idea.gif

If we are lucky enough we might even see the big cached Zen3s to be the last line of CPUs for the AM4 platform icon_idea.gif

While the 11400 is good, the somewhat limited upgradeability and the fact that you need a decent B560 (which isn't cheap by any means compared to B550) just to make proper use of the chip itself (otherwise you'll end up getting 30% less performance) is going to sway some people away from Rocket Lake icon_idea.gif

It's fine though if someone isn't going to upgrade their systems for a long time icon_idea.gif

EBBattlefield With stock cooler, 5700G hit thermal throttle shortly after the test. Score as attached.... It runs stable at 3.92Ghz thermal @ 85c...

nrw here's the mentioned "1-click memory overclocking" on Omen software. Tried running Ryzen master but unfortunately, 5700G is not supported yet.

"Ryzen Master does not support current processor. Unsupported Processor!"

CPU-Z info on motherboard and RAM shared as well. SDP information is not available... due to HP I guess...

Can't complain much as the PC was delivered within 2 days... Will try to upgrade CPU cooler to NH-U9S for the time being and probably add a couple of fans as well..

10% less performance for 30% lower TDP is not bad.
below is my 5800x with PBO on and temperature capped manually at 85C

Scroll down to my quick test for the 5700G (and have a good look at what owihk keeps posting, his posts really are valuable continuous quality content).

I think it has it's place in the line up and with the $USD pricing they might replace the 3700X and 3600 at similar prices. Gaming performance with discrete GPU is an issue but other than that there are strong sides.

Thats what i thought too.
What AIO you recommend that have RGB sync?

Noticed that those Asus, Msi, Gigabye AIO all very expensive. Do they really good for the price or just branding? 😅😅

AMD also no more upgradability for this gen. So no diff. And I will stay away from cheap B550 if I were you....those poor memory traces will give you stability hell. And dont listen to those two useless hardware unboxed guys. All B560 can unlock power (if you want to) so you wont lose that 30% performance... the difference is only at "out of the box".

and who says 11400 no upgradeability hmm.gif i just "upgraded" from 10400F to 10600K and maybe 10900K if I can find a nicer super compact ITX case (less than 11L) that can fit better thermal solution with 3 slot gpu... waiting for dan A4H20.

besides those cezanne APU is not that "cheap" to be tossing away for vermeers... infact id say it's a pretty crazy move lol.

look for those with 5V argb connector. All those AIO are mostly branding, especially ASUS. they're either using CoolIT, Asetek or coolermaster.

Nzxt uses usb cuz they got a display. You can also look at thermaltake water3.0 rgb that uses asetek. Id-cooling is pretty weak, im personally pretty happy with coolermaster. You can also take a look at EK's aio.
