More or less normal.
In msia ambient, high 40s and low 50s as idle temp is normal for Zen 2 and 3. |

QUOTE(yimingwuzere @ Jun 18 2021, 02:09 PM) Also, as a comparison with the 11400, 5600G has a faster GPU but performs worse overall when using a discrete card. It doesn't make it a worthy buy for gaming systems where folks are holding on to integrated graphics while waiting for RTX prices to drop. To be fair though if you need to game while waiting for a proper GPU, the 5600G isn't too bad, and depending on the motherboard you can move to a proper Zen 3 chip like the 5600X or the 5800X in the future with a BIOS update and a CPU swap (along with a cooler upgrade) If we are lucky enough we might even see the big cached Zen3s to be the last line of CPUs for the AM4 platform While the 11400 is good, the somewhat limited upgradeability and the fact that you need a decent B560 (which isn't cheap by any means compared to B550) just to make proper use of the chip itself (otherwise you'll end up getting 30% less performance) is going to sway some people away from Rocket Lake It's fine though if someone isn't going to upgrade their systems for a long time |

QUOTE(thankyou @ Jun 14 2021, 10:55 PM) EBBattlefield With stock cooler, 5700G hit thermal throttle shortly after the test. Score as attached.... It runs stable at 3.92Ghz thermal @ 85c... 10% less performance for 30% lower TDP is not bad.nrw here's the mentioned "1-click memory overclocking" on Omen software. Tried running Ryzen master but unfortunately, 5700G is not supported yet. "Ryzen Master does not support current processor. Unsupported Processor!" CPU-Z info on motherboard and RAM shared as well. SDP information is not available... due to HP I guess... Can't complain much as the PC was delivered within 2 days... Will try to upgrade CPU cooler to NH-U9S for the time being and probably add a couple of fans as well.. below is my 5800x with PBO on and temperature capped manually at 85C ![]() nrw liked this post

I think it has it's place in the line up and with the $USD pricing they might replace the 3700X and 3600 at similar prices. Gaming performance with discrete GPU is an issue but other than that there are strong sides. This post has been edited by nrw: Jun 19 2021, 11:04 PM |

So no diff. And I will stay away from cheap B550 if I were you....those poor memory traces will give you stability hell. And dont listen to those two useless hardware unboxed guys. All B560 can unlock power (if you want to) so you wont lose that 30% performance... the difference is only at "out of the box".If we are lucky enough we might even see the big cached Zen3s to be the last line of CPUs for the AM4 platform While the 11400 is good, the somewhat limited upgradeability and the fact that you need a decent B560 (which isn't cheap by any means compared to B550) just to make proper use of the chip itself (otherwise you'll end up getting 30% less performance) is going to sway some people away from Rocket Lake It's fine though if someone isn't going to upgrade their systems for a long time and who says 11400 no upgradeability besides those cezanne APU is not that "cheap" to be tossing away for vermeers... infact id say it's a pretty crazy move lol.
