It is 4.10%, not 4.01%

Sorry, 4.10%, getting brain fog tongue.gif
But just calculated 3.20% p.a. 12 months is still higher and is more convenient to place & redeem online.

This is worrying.
While waiting for hq investigation. I'd suggest you go to your HLB home branch and report it to the branch manager or RM. More ppl follow up to expedite your case.
Please update the forum.

Update : After reporting to BNM, HLB solve the issue really fast. They called me this morning and solve the issue. My eFD has been withdrawn to my CASA.

Hush! This is how we bank shareholders make dividend

This is why...instead of sakit kepala pusing-pusing trying to make a few extra peanuts. Just buy bank stocks when price is attractive to earn dividends. Seriously, why crack your brains earn peanuts when you can let the smart people earn bananas for you?

Thank you mod!

That fella so annoying!

Btw, not sure if this is appropriate for discussion here. Does anyone puts FD in Singapore or elsewhere? Planning to park some money is SGD for hedging purposes.

It looks like the FD rates are closing in on Pre pandemic rates. Do you guys its safe now to put in longer promo period. i.e. 6 months vs 12 months.

My 2 cents says wait a bit yet. USA, UK and Europe are all set for further interest rate rises and Malaysia will really have to follow suit to protect the Ringgit as best it can. The next OPR rise is likely 8/9/22 and I would be tempted to wait until at least then. I wouldn't bet against OPR of 2.75% by the end of this year and 3.25% by the end of H1 2023.

Personally...

3mth or 6mth should be the target...

Whatever... There's sure some hike in OPR...
How many... Not sure... So 6mth is sweet spots 🙏

Put into KDI Save at 3% until end of the year. Withdraw when the time is right for FD.

I tell you, it's useless to park FD in SGD. The rate is not attractive, max can only get like 1.0% - 1.50% (12 months), that is pre-covid and need to hit certain sum. also must be OTC ya.

E-FD don't ever think to get 1%. the most is 0.5% - 0.75% that is already promotional rate and must put fresh fund..

Just go for REITS la uncle....
