QUOTE(bbgoat @ Jan 2 2017, 11:15 AM) Just received HL FD interest of 4.7%. Oh, step up interest ! Old FD promo in Oct 2015 !!Going to ask for lost interest over 2 days tomorrow. Ahh the good old promo..Heading to MBSB for 4.2% nego interest tomorrow. Anyone heard of any Jan FD promo from other banks ? All above 4.5% really missed the affin bank one.. That's the best offer before all the rate dropped.. Nowadays we can dream only if can get such rate |

QUOTE(cklimm @ Jan 2 2017, 07:06 PM) Hard to get good deals nowadays Might be permanent keep in GIA.. QUOTE(bbgoat @ Jan 2 2017, 07:51 PM) Have nego with MBSB for tomorrow's placement at 4.2% for either 9 mth or 12 mth. Walao seriously Have heard from one bank source that banks FD promo will be <4% starting 2017. Anyway lets see if it is true. If like that, better lock whatever acceptable rate now |

QUOTE(bbgoat @ Jan 2 2017, 08:47 PM) Now like "too late" if it turns out to be true. But 3.95% is still not a bad deal which some banks have been doing in Dec. Well that's the "best" rate we could get now QUOTE(kjlow88 @ Jan 2 2017, 09:18 PM) True, hahaha Well maybe they feels rate will drop next few months time..the market so silent, didn't even do any attractive promotion Are they playing some tactic? |

The present requirements for the cash threshold report involves cash transactions exceeding RM50,000 involving physical currencies and bearer negotiable instruments such as travellers’ cheques.
The amount excludes bank drafts, cheques, electronic transfers or fixed deposit rollovers or renewals. The governor said this change will bring the cash threshold report in Malaysia to be more at par with other countries. "When we compare Malaysia with other countries, our current threshold is too high and disconnected from the size of our economy, especially relative to our purchasing power," she said. So No worries... |

QUOTE(klks34 @ Jun 8 2020, 04:03 PM) Hi, I think nowadays.. it's forfeited & u get nothing.Let say if I put an amount into FD for a period of 6 months. Then after 3 months I withdraw out the FD, will I be able to get the interest for the 3 months? Or the interest will be forfeited and I will get nothing? remember one banker said that to customer old man previously (overheard during OTC transactions) |
