Not really. In Malaysia Apple website wont like others will show “Coming Soon” most of the time.

Let’s see, now Apple Malaysia website don’t even have the Apple Pay webpage (The page you’re looking for can’t be found) , see if they will update one.

There was once (around last year Nov) where I went into that particular page with "/my" and the whole page was just plain white. Not even Apple's error message. At that time, I thought, wow it's coming because only "/my" one has issue. I crossed checked "/th" and "/ph" (countries with no AP) and they got the standard Apple error message. As I was typing to inform everyone here, I went back to check the page again (which is like 1-2mins after), standard Apple error message appear already. Not sure what's happening but then since there's no more evidence (I wanted to go back and take a screenshot), I did not post anything.

White page = not even the header navigation. Just plain white.

It happen frequently lately, sometimes it show white page server not found instead of apple error message, on th page never have this issues

I think I owe you guys a little update on the apple pay development here in Malaysia since I have been partially involved in getting your hopes up.

Well, initially the service was scheduled to be launched before March 2022, but due to unforeseen reasons from the Central Bank, the launch is currently pending until further notice.

I think their requirements to Apple is either unlimited free credit in AP or each person get one free iPhone, renew yearly. So keep on delaying.

So many counter have AP. So security issue should not be the main issue.

Almost 6 year since I open this topic and until this moment Malaysia likely would not have Apple pay in short time :/

At first was probably banks do not want to take the initiative to pick it up until stakeholder or public pressure.
Now, from what we see, looks like BNM is the one cock blocking now. SP and AP looks very similar, not sure why BNM is cock blocking AP.

Maybe Samsung got invest in Malaysia so easier get approve by BNM while Apple dont invest in Malaysia..You help me I help you

its not going to happen. not until i assume an official apple store opens here in msia + 2 years. really nice to see all the gullible people just sucking up all the rumours. if AP doesnt come by Q1 as rumoured then they can say ops but if it comes then everyone here will be happy. so it's a win win situation for them.

I'm gonna play the devil's advocate and say its not gonna come in 2022. I'd like to be proven wrong but until then, not going to lick the boots of those saying it will come soon™

All the speculations about BNM being the bad guy are speculations at best. For all you know BNM wants to bring it in but the banks don't want to pay the high fees from AP.
