Rumor has it that it's coming around end of this year, about the same time as the Samsung Pay. Paywave is the first step of cashless payments.

yea lol.. saw it on youtube

edit :
(idk if this is gonna work)
TS maybe u can try if this method,
more like prepaid card but need to topup to GBP currency
technically MYR > GBP > MYR
so just calculate the transaction costs / currency / exchange cost. is it worth it?

Not coming anytime soon. Samsung Pay makes so much more sense as retailers don't have to upgrade/add-on another POS device.

VISA paywave is also good, been using it way too much at McDonalds and AEON big hahaha.

Actually it is only here in Malaysia and a few other countries where retailers have to buy the POS system. Other countries the banks are the issuers and providers of the POS and its free for the retailers. Hence it is easier for them to adopt. Sadly in Malaysia iOS users only accounts for 10% of the smartphone market.

Hey brother, don’t take your own thinking as a fact la....

Do some research how does contactless payment works. Apple Pay, Android Pay or Samsung Pay almost works on all existing PayWave / PayPass terminal as long as local banks in your country makes your Apple device supported with their bank.

Apple Pay uses NFC technology to simulate as additional paywave card wirelessly instead of physically.

Your phone just act like a tag.

If your phone lost, call bank to remove your phone from your linked bank card withour replacing new atm/debit/credit card. It makes your life easier and not making apple rich.

Sounds like Android fanboys making noise here. The mechanism of contactless pay info available on internet.

Hope this helps you gain your knowledge and minimizing peoples got mislead by your statement.

Yes, Apple Pay use the same technology as visa paywave/Mastercard Paypass. So if POS already support contactless transaction, by right they do not have to upgrade the POS.
