QUOTE(PoisonSoul @ Dec 8 2021, 12:51 PM) Only one outlet or they are asking all/most outlet to try? Abit makes no sense to ask only 1 outlet to try right? We wanted the entire chain but the feedback from them wasn’t positive. So maybe 1 outlet at the building only lor..QUOTE(PoisonSoul @ Dec 9 2021, 11:18 AM) The showstopper is actually at b*m. We are treating it like a card but they treat it like an e-wallet with transaction limit, so a lot of back and forth emails. |

QUOTE(PoisonSoul @ Jan 6 2022, 09:50 PM) driftmeister creep Xaphier pls pass this msg to your project manager or representative to BxM. Maybe it's one of you guy's Project Manager/Representative that is causing AP launch to be slowed. QUOTE(The1stHumanBeing @ Jan 7 2022, 01:07 AM) The fact that BNM are asking these questions makes me really question the competence of the person/people in charge of spearheading the Apple Pay project. Do they even understand the basics of the project they are working on. Like have they even used Apple Pay (either in the testing phase or just asking their international friends for their cards to try it out?). Their lack of knowledge really shows their lack of enthusiasm for Apple Pay. z3 is spot on on the question by BxM on AP, that's exactly the questioned by them and answered to them verbally late last year and a written response was given last friday. As well explained by Mavik in order to use Apple Pay, the user has to authentic (unless Express Travel Mode) with Face/Touch ID or with their passcode before authorising a payment. I would argue it’s more secure than your physical wallet because once a thief has your physical wallet in their possession; they can use the banknotes and your bank cards’ wave function to make payments. The only institution that allows you to manually disable contactless transactions in app is Wise. So in terms of theft, Apple Pay is more secure. Merchants and card issuers would definitely have agreements on how much the transaction limit would be on contactless payments to prevent fraud. If they are unsure if the transaction is authorised, they can request the user to enter their PIN, sign a receipt or even request a different payment method. As I always though, Apple Pay works like your bank card. However, it exists virtually. It’s having two different bank cards (physical and virtual) linked to the same account. It’s s like having two keys that unlock the same door lock. Like my door lock example, both keys (cards in our case) should have similar characteristics and limitations. Agree with PoisonSoul, if you’re still bothered reading our messages driftmeister creep Xaphier, please contact the person/people in charge. Their lack of knowledge about Apple Pay is sabotaging it’s release date and it has made most people give up on Apple Pay’s release. I hope these issues would be resolved soon; as many hope one day they could just use their phone for contactless payments. Necessary justification was given like the likelihood a PIN is compromised (000000 until 999999) vs face ID (1 in 1mio probability) and regarding tranx limit also everything is stated in emvco standard and followed through. Up to BxM to accept the justification now. This post has been edited by driftmeister: Jan 11 2022, 06:14 PM The1stHumanBeing liked this post

QUOTE(PoisonSoul @ Jan 11 2022, 06:37 PM) Last Friday was the "bluetick" from BxM to you guys lah? I wonder how long would they take to make assessment again and then give the green light. dont think it will be scrap as many banks are pursuing, and money being spent. the project is almost at the last kick. Just matter of testing and sign off. |

QUOTE(The1stHumanBeing @ Feb 15 2022, 12:55 PM) driftmeister when did you and/or a team delivered the explanation to BNM. I remember saying they should respond within 21 days or something. Is it usual for them to take that long to respond or the response was only sent recently? Early Jan. On the TaT, bank must follow but they may ehem hem (not follow) ? |

QUOTE(PoisonSoul @ Feb 18 2022, 09:52 PM) Thanks creep for this detailed update. What do you mean by the status on 5th Jan? What does implementation date means? Does it mean that the "code" to use AP is already in the production side just that, for now, if user tries to add your bank's card, it will just deny? Just waiting for Business Team to say ok, and IT side will "flip the switch" to allow us to add the cards? not as simple as flip the switch but apple side need like 2 weeks to get it enable from their side.QUOTE(@POTUS @ Feb 21 2022, 04:45 PM) Hi, any news from them? Under such circumstances when they no reply, how long would you guys chase/shoot them?😂 The1stHumanBeing, aazzam14, and 1 other liked this post

QUOTE(@POTUS @ Apr 2 2022, 11:26 AM) Then need 21 days to get reply from bnm given if no more further questions, then another 2 weeks to inform apple. So expecting end May can use? Expect somewhere around August/September based on the project deferment.QUOTE(PoisonSoul @ Apr 4 2022, 02:40 PM) Samsung Pay I believe went thru similar bureaucracy as AP. On why then BNM is so "pushy" wanting requirement A, B, C for AP, that's something we might never know. They have been upping their game and requirement recently. Not so easy to get their OK recently. Also, who knows, maybe SP and banks also took them few years doing it at the back without our knowledge (SP was first intro in SK @ 20th Aug 2015 while locally is launched in 24th February 2017). Maybe SP and AP's backend (disaster recovery etc etc) works different and because of the ever changing and advancement of tech and scams, BNM probably getting stricter and stricter. And maybe who knows, this AP project by the local banks has only started maybe exactly 1 year ago only. SP took 2 years. So, chill lo. Can those insiders confirm this? hahaha Btw, Genting has a vending machine in First World Plaza that takes GP, SP and AP. ![]() |

QUOTE(jacktooandroid @ Jul 21 2022, 07:19 PM) Did some further analysis on the Week Of The Month (first day of the month as Week 1) of the past release dates and the results are as follows: I can only say you are great Week 1: 6.8% (3) Week 2: 22.7% (10) Week 3: 18.2% (8) Week 4: 34.1% (15) Week 5: 18.2% (8) So I guess past data is pointing towards 9 Aug 2022 more than 2 Aug 2022 (if any of these are correct). With that said, this is based on probability from past data. Mark it in the calendar This post has been edited by driftmeister: Jul 22 2022, 02:28 PM |
