Yeah. Technically, it is slower but when they are doing speedtest, their speed test result can reach 31Mbps or even higher. Mine only get 28Mbps and I am using FTTH. I just wanted to share my personal experience to evrryone.

FYI, I have 3 friends who stay in high rise building and they are using VDSL not FTTH. To your surprise, three of them achieve more than 30Mbps speed. Whereas, I'm still stuck at 28Mbps.

If you are giving your personal opinion, say so, so that peoiple don't get the facts wrong.

"VDSL users apways get higher speed that fiber users." is construed as a statement of fact, and not your personal opinion.

My FFTH is constantly at 32Mbps++ all the time.

I have not encounter friends that are throttled at 28Mbps only at this forum.

LOL...looks like the recruitment is on!

ANyways, just check with both my neighbors, they been getting what I had earlier...so looks like it might not be by area?

I suspect, if one calls TM for connection issues or stability/noise (as in my case, noise on voip phone) they capped the line for stability....just maybe

We would like to acknowledge you that the vdsl can reached 20mbps to 40 mbps.

On the other hand, fiber provide more lower latency, less noise issues, less maintenance, faster speeds, no loss in maximum line speed due to distance as well.

However,Internet access speed may be affected as a result from these factors:

1. Locations of websites; where users may experience lower speed from international
website

2. Capacity of visited web server, where some web servers cannot cope with huge traffic

3. demand from users OR do not have enough capacity OR where download speed is restricted to ensure fair level of service

4.Network congestion as a result of network maintenance or outages

5. Running multiple applications simultaneously like user other applications such as Peerto-Peer
e.g: Bittorent

Been getting this speed since install. Full FTTH. Higher ping is because this is not kl server. Kl server on lan will get 28ms and speed slightly slower than wifi which is the attached one. Anyone have idea why when the ip location detected is correct in pc can test kl server but phone cnt? And if the location is wrong pc need manually set server while phone got kl server? Weird.
