Is it possible to test the Hypp TV box with laptop? since it can be connected to lcd monitor so I am wondering if it is viable😏
*
No. Laptop only has output port. You need to find something which has a input port like Monitor pr TV.

Thanks for your clarification. My tv is located far enough from the router which that TM guy cannot help to install and activate Hypp TV for me as it can only be connected via HDMI cable sad.gif

What is your router model?

It is D-link DIR-850L and the Hypp TV STB model is EC6108V8
*
Too bad that your current router cant do that. Maybe you can use LAN cable/powerline.

No more than 400. No requirements. I just hate signal losses on mobile or laptops. Since I'm using 30Mbps, do I need 5G? Landed.
*
I would suggest you to take TL-WR841HP V3. I am using it right now. So far I have no problem with it.

You're using 30Mbps too? Should I even consider a router that supports up to 5GHz? Or will 2.4Hz suffice? At my small company, TM guy came and changed our device to one that supports 5GHz. He said higher speed internet need it?
*
Yeah. It is ok for 30Mbps. But if you are using 100Mbps or higher then you should get AC router.

I just realized something with my pc behaviour since moving to Unifi

While downloading seems blazingly fast (compared to the previous Streamyx 4MB), it also causes my cpu usage high. Previously when I was still on Streamyx, I can open multiple tabs on Chrome while downloading with IDM without much performance hit.

Basically I'm running
- Pentium G620
- 8GB RAM
- network via USB WiFi Dlink DWA-140

I don't have any 3rd party firewall. And I'm confident that my system is free of virus/malware and such.

I have no problem when doing just browsing or streaming videos.

any other reason terminate-reregister is not such a good idea

The latest UniFi stock router is TP-Link Archer C5. You can flash it with original firmware if you want to do so.

I think only for voice and places which are out of coverage will use Celcom.
*
Webe uses celcom's 2G and 3G infra for calls and data purpose. 4G 850MHz is just for data only.

LTE no need to use those tall Telco towers, meh?
*
850Mhz has bigger coverage but the bandwidth will be lower. So the speed will be slower. They are going to add 2300Mhz base tower soon.

850MHz can transfer exactly same amount of data in one second as 2600MHz provided the spectrum used is equal but since lower frequency could cover bigger area, so it's generally more congested.
*
Technically they can transfer the same speed but then when you you test it 3 km away from the base tower, you will see that 2600MHZ can provide faster speed.

C'mon dude, I'm just being sarcastic.  biggrin.gif  There's no such thing as speed boost from them.

I dont think he will run every where in Klang Valley area just for changing port speed cap and changing account speed cap. Moreover, the technician needs to ask their head to open the DSLAM Box for them to do anything there. Unless all of the heads are "bekerja sama". JKJK.

I cant connect to the router (web management). The TM personel who came to my house also cant connect (though after rebooting the router). So they just simply replace it with the new router which is the TP-Link Archer C5. I somehow dislike the bright white light of the RGX4400 router at night (quite annoying while watching movie). Replacing with other router eliminate this issue but the BTU still flashing the bright white light sweat.gif
*
I use black tape to cover the BTU light. The light indicator is too bright.
