longer tenure lower rates, does that mean CIMB expects the OPR to go lower?

Just to share my case here, so might not apply to your case cos I am not sure.

I have eFD with MBB before this. To capture a promo FD I was needed to do a placement over the counter.
I remember the teller said "when the maturity date you can take this cert to withdraw at any branch".
At this point  I did not know that this branch will move out/close/restructure next year.
*
Unless Maybank has changed the policy, else you can only withdraw the FD from the branch you open.

next year CNY those pbb, hlb would pop up promotion fd again, usually.

so it may sound wise to lock on 4% 12mth now, but not very sure what happening next year

juz simple thinking: wanna cash @ new year 2017, put short term 3mth/4mth now

if no such needs, straight 12mth

Want to place hong leong efd
So i go to open hong leong basiac saving account but get rejected by branch saying that account require employment letter for payroll or for low income people.

they say this is their bank policy. I dun think bank can do such thing, right?

After my insist asking to check further, they said will make a call to their office to confrm and leave my phone number there.

Maybe i need to try other branch.

I found out certain banks like to act the little napoleon thing. So arrogant when customers make request.
I kena before in Hlb too... Feel like wanna slap them that time.

Because not everyone has ASB, and unit trusts don't necessarily have better ROI.
