not quite interested in mbsb

even bank rakyat chairman's case also dumping ppl confident that these small financial institute lack of proper check & balance mechanism

HLB now got 4% for 12mth for online fd placement
*
Online FD is too tempting, too easy to uplift biggrin.gif

QUOTE(sandkoh @ Oct 12 2016, 02:24 PM)
cimb promo rate lower for longer term. did they say 12 month something like 4.05%?  hmm.gif
*
No one has any news of that.

QUOTE(cherrykoay @ Oct 12 2016, 02:18 PM)
Yes if 12mths I can get higher than 4.0% to be honest. A little bit more. I just wanna try my luck hoping to get higher during CNY. So let's see how it goes
*
Which bank?

QUOTE(harmonics3 @ Oct 12 2016, 12:54 PM)
longer tenure lower rates, does that mean CIMB expects the OPR to go lower?
*
Everyone does. Even HLB long term and short term almost the same rates.

also please use add reply, you did 4 consecutive posts. you know the rule? hmm.gif
*
No I don't know the rule, where's it stated?

QUOTE(mhisyam6 @ Oct 12 2016, 04:47 PM)
Can someone explains to me, "why we are still need FD even though we have ASB/Unit Trust option with better ROI?"
*
Because not everyone has ASB, and unit trusts don't necessarily have better ROI.

Not a wise move. Removing an existing FD for this FD. You will get less than that at the end of the day. Effective rate only 4.1%. See below.
Btw, which bank support FPX transfer?  How much does FPX transfer cost?
Still good when other bank rates are at <=4%
*
Other bank rates are guaranteed smile.gif

just came out with 4.15% TUE FD promo and now this 4.2% pulak?

HLB need so much cash meh??
*
Well let's put it this way. I've had an account there for one year. Since then,

(1) My debit card has been declined for no apparent reason. Called them, they said something about cashier keying in.. whatever. I didn't see anything different the cashier did.

(2) They moved the branch from an easily-accessible shopping mall to some place in the middle of nowhere

(3) The new PIN and pay card arrived in the mail, with a big red sticker on it reminding you to activate the card.. and it's almost impossible to remove smile.gif

If deposit 200k cash for their FD with promo rate, we will get premier banking status?
*
Yes but why? it's just like a datukship, there are no real benefits there.

Hi, can advise which bank has this benefit?
*
200k I think HLB. Not sure what the minimum is for the rest.

QUOTE(wjchay @ Dec 7 2016, 03:57 PM)
I have moneybox, car loan account, and FD account with HLB. No CASA. I tried but failed to do the fpx 4.15%.

That was 2 weeks ago.
*
I think the promo is for HLB not Mach right?

QUOTE(chrisoth80 @ Dec 6 2016, 06:47 PM)
not if you are a premier banking customer which you can uplift at any branch. I can even place the fd without the need going to their branch as my rm will come and visit me to get the necessary thumbprint and submit on behalf of me
*
How can you guys stand that.. it's like you are ten years old, need your parents to do your banking for you smile.gif
