Bangkok bank 4.1% still the highest for straight forward 12m FD, but not many ppl seems interested. Is it due to far distance or long waiting time to process ?

I have FDs maturing in Oct but I feel like withdrawing now in Sept and put it into RHB and lock it at 4% for another 12 mths.  Does it make sense to do this?
*
depends on amount, how much loss of interest, fd duration placed?

The effective rate of 4.10% for 12 mths is attractive n competitive
Not sure whether the step-up rate is subject to OPR changes or not

Based on the earlier launch, they honoured the stated rate until now
Thus, I presume they shld follow the printed rate
*
doubt is still there. egia-i has changed 3 times? so gia can change. clause is there, even principal not guaranteed.

I'm not concern on principal cause Maybank won't fail me
Instead, I'm keen to know whether they will vary the rate much if compare between actual n printed returns
*
laugh.gif they say indicative rate. not promised rate. any change it could drop to 3.8-3.9%.

Why so interested in banks and PIDM? Why don't you try and ask MBSB for higher rates if you have money? No way MBSB try to demand RM 1 million for 4.1% for 12 months. They have been consistently attractive and competitive on the top side - but need to ask. If your cash flow and money is available, the first place is MBSB.

how do sifu compare br and mbsb?

Where got thread for nego rates above the MBSB promo. But you can nego for more than the current top promo rates without getting anywhere close to RM 1 million.
*
bro, uncle goat is just saying 1m for alliance to get 4.1%. br 50k can nego. other bank maybe 200k, 300k can nego. most banks tak boleh nego.
