12 month 4%
requirement: fresh 10k funds

There's another 5 or 6mth promo at 3.xx%, can't remember.

Just rec'd text message from CIMB RM for Preferred Rates:
1 mth @ 3.40%
3 mths @ 3.85%
6 mths @ 3.75%
12 mths @ 3.70%
*
longer tenure lower rates, does that mean CIMB expects the OPR to go lower?

Just to share my case here, so might not apply to your case cos I am not sure.

I have eFD with MBB before this. To capture a promo FD I was needed to do a placement over the counter.
I remember the teller said "when the maturity date you can take this cert to withdraw at any branch".
At this point  I did not know that this branch will move out/close/restructure next year.
*
Unless Maybank has changed the policy, else you can only withdraw the FD from the branch you open.

I found out can place online as well as long choose 6 or 12 months tenure. I did it online this morning, then call up RM to check and she confirm she can see in the system its the step up rates. Save me a trip to the bank  rclxms.gif

that's great rclxms.gif
can we assume Maybank still pays the normal GIA interest (3.6%/p.a. currently) calculated daily if we uplift earlier?

This 12month GIA is for placement over the counter only?
*
If similar to previous promo not necessary, just need to choose 12mth in the e-GIA placement with at least 10K then ok.

I tried to check after placing, it only showed
Profit rate: Rate as declared on maturity date

Unlike the old one which showed:
Interest rate: 3.6% i
