Unlikely as OPR is going to be cut some more. Even the highest Affin (4.05% now) will be reduce.

The real winners were those placed the MBSB exclusive 5 before it discontinued, 4.7% for 5 years, even better than most corporate bonds

Bangkok bank 4.1% still the highest for straight forward 12m FD, but not many ppl seems interested. Is it due to far distance or long waiting time to process ?

Ya, the MBSB one was in Aug 2015. My first ever placement with MBSB. Now looking back, should have placed for their 5 yrs one. Anyway, history !

Anyway, I think good to spread out FD to 5 yrs, 3, 2 and 1 yrs tenure. 

Time to park all my fds into unit trust by doing dca. 3.7 is sad

From what i read and gather, look like 3.95% and 4.05% per year are the most attractive FD interest rate  ..... so the winners go to
HL Bank and Affin Bank...... any objections......

Malaysian small cap.

Yeap exactly. I parked around 4k in there so it's already way too much for my comfort zone. I'll try to talk to any of the girls in maybank and ocbc if they can offer me a rate I'm comfortable with.

See if I can weasle a 4.2.  Last year one of the mbb girls offered me 4.5 eventho it was stated 4.2 last year
