Yes. The supplied AC1200 is the issue, and your device as well. See the link that another bro have replied to you with, and you will understand MIMO.

so here is the thing I've noticed since last night,
Speed test shows 460-500mbps download speed & 500mbps constant upload speed but when I download something (wired connection), it still downloads the file at 8-10mbps which supposed to be 50mbps.
am I missing something?
btw I am using AC1200 router (the one TIME provided)

Am i the only one here with time scheduled to replace my router with tplink at the end of the month with monthly fee reduction to rm129/mth for 100mbps hmm.gif

Maybe im the same. Currently my new price not in effect yet but now im 500mbps already (old router)... im also old customer, they agree to reduce my price next month onwards with contract extension

All i can see ASUS is one thing. Ovepriced with lots of marketing hype.

Tplink, on the other hand, has been very relaible. Got a router from Streamyx days to TIME fiber era. Still got firmware to update for fiber use after many years. It is still working until i have decided to buy a new router to take advantage of Wifi AC. Also have lots of Usb dongle from  Tplink which works pretty well.

It could be because im considered a 'semi-grandfathered' account holder cos last time my rm129 was under astro-time package, then when i switched to time i had to pay rm149 for 100mbps....

We subscribed before the package rm149 available.
Rm129 for 50Mbps? (Cant remember)
Then got it free upgrade to 100Mbps smile.gif

U will get time free speed upgrade instead of reduced fee. Rm129 is for old customers or through selected agents only

RM129 for 10Mbps I think. Mine is RM179 for 15 Mbps, got upgraded to 300Mbps with the same price. New 300Mbps plan was RM189.
