TIME giving free router...why need to buy, wireless , most devices can barely make it to 500Mbps anyway.

I am waiting for TIME give me free router , so later i can sell it off since i already bought an AC1200 earliar.

For me, after upgraded to 500Mbps, really no differwnce in terms of daily usage. I will take 100Mbps with cheaper price anyday!

Got free router meh, the link not working. Scam is it?

Your android box has 100mbps lan port or 1000mbps?

Maybe your Andoird box itself is limited to 100mbps LAN. Like my switch is a 10/100mbps switch.

The link was down since early this week. I think because they are preparing to change website for the new plan. You should also recieved an email notification from TIME earliar, unless you are already using the news modems, then dont have. It applies to customers which was given the old Zte modem which cant support Gigabit network and using old WifiN.
*
yup.. i received the notification via email to submit the application before Dec18.
I think my modem is the old one as i've been using it for the past 3 years (10 Mbps subscription). I guess i'll just have the wait till the link is up again.

Starting from 900+ and droping to 550Mbps.

Only get 940 Mbps in my TVBox. Upload is always ~500 Mbps.

sorry guys, i'm totally noob here. i get 500Mbps on LAN but speedtest on WiFi shows 75Mbps. This should be new equipment since I only got Time installed in May. How do I tune the router to have higher WiFi bandwidth?

Force it to run on 802.11AC-80MHz on 5GHz band.
Make sure that your device has 5 bars signal strength.

Hi guys, im moving to condo soon and considering time internet with the new 500mbps rm149 (which rumor lauch this friday)
So far im at land house with new maxis rm89 30mbps.
If not mistake, our streaming/download is only capped around 10% of our plan right?
E.g. my maxis 30mbps, but download is around 3mb only.(not spees test, speed test will show 100% of speed)
So TIME will be the same?

Some say TIME support full optic fibre thus can reach 100% of speed given.

OMG....only 3Mbps for download? Streamyx also can do better... Are you sure there is such limitations? Doesnt sounds logical...

There is no such thing with limitation with TIME, you can download full speed from Steam etc. Limit only by your down load source.
*
that one nothing to do with capping LOL.

its how bits and bytes are calculated. 8 bits = 1 byte

generally your internet speed/8 = your dl speed.

so 100 Megabits internet speed = dl speed is 12.5 Megabytes

30Mbps line = 3.75MB/s

I think it's not 10% of the plan

It's actually correct, if you're on 30mbps plan, ur max download speed should be 3mb/s shown in the download

As I am on TIME 100/500 mbps, I can get 10/50mb/s

Actually is fully utilize

There is no capped speed. Im thinking that u are confused between MB/s and mbps

8mbps = 1MB/s
500mbps = roughly 62MB/s

But all these is the theoretical max speed.

Real life speed highly depends on your device and equipments

Hi,

So far there is NO capped or throttling. Anyway it does subject to FUP.
Do refer here :

This statement is not entirely true.
Though 100% Optical Fibre infra does tremendously improves the overall performance as relative to conventional copper ADSL/VDSL topology..
A proper network design, termination, equipment etc do play critical roles.
Thanks.
