Is this normal on D-link DIR 850L Wireless router using WiFi 5GHz AC only?
Downlink speed using Speedtest: 4X Mbps Uplink speed using Speedtest: near to 100 Mbps How come Uplink is far greater than Downlink? Above phenomenon is not observed when using RJ45 LAN on the same router? |

QUOTE(lyrilmaki @ Jun 14 2017, 02:04 PM) my 850L on 5GHz can reach 100mbps Down & Up.. with iPhone 7 I got the same results as you on my Samsung S8.but on 2.4Ghz, I can reach 25-30mbps Up Down only. Could be my laptop problem then? It is using Intel Wireless Dual-band AC 7265. I have forced 850L to run on AC only! |

QUOTE(lyrilmaki @ Jun 14 2017, 06:01 PM) Should be your WiFi card issue.. The WiFi chipset comes from Intel: Intel Wireless Dual-band AC 7265A budget phone around RM1k range, their WiFi card is not good, and have a max Down/Upload speed of 30mbps.. Could be your laptop WiFi card is laosy.. Try LAN, you should be able to get 100mbps |

QUOTE(FusionXY @ Jun 14 2017, 06:37 PM) Hi, only 5GHz have the capabilities to achieve up to 100Mbps. I updated my laptop NIC WiFi driver. If your 2.4GHz devices are using 2X2 Antenna then it is achievable. Set your Channel bandwidth to 40MHz then can get up to 50Mbps ++ except the upload speed. Due to limitation of D-Link 850L as on 2.4GHz limit to 300Mbps only. If device using Wireless N without 2X2 Antenna then support up to 150Mbps only. My laptop is achievable of getting 70 - 99 Mbps over Wi-Fi 2.4GHz over 40MHz Channel Bandwidth 2.4GHz wider range, low performance 5GHz low range, high performance BTW, I'm using TP-Link Archer C9. Thanks. The downlink speed has improved significantly to 9x Mbps. I'm also using the 5GHz band and forced to operate in AC mode. |

If I go for outstation for few days, can I shut down the Dlink router and/or Huawei modem?
Will it get out of sync later when I back? |

QUOTE(neo_lam @ Jul 3 2017, 05:09 PM) guys....Friday i gonna have TIME installation.....May i know is that possible to install without drilling walls? My installation doesn't need drilling. The fibre cable is piggy backing on existing Penangfon CAT5 cable using cable ties. LOL This post has been edited by David83: Jul 5 2017, 10:53 AM |

QUOTE(neo_lam @ Jul 5 2017, 10:15 AM) As I mentioned, my current unit has existing wiring with CAT5 cable from Penangfon. The TIME fibre is just piggybacking on this cable. Luckily that the fibre cable is much thinner compared to CAT5 cable. |

Those are not glue. I think it's melted plastic or PVC material.
