Hi,

I still want to know if spending rm1000 and above on a high end router will give constant speed of 100mbps ?

I still see a lot of people here not utilizing the full speed on wifi or another case can't get full speed.

I have a total of 4 laptop and 4 phones connecting to the internet at home via wifi. Not interested in using any LAN cable.

Thanks

Hi Bro,

Even the most high end router cannot guarantee "constant" wifi speed... fluctuation within the acceptable range does occur...

Go for the followings :

1) Asus RT-AC87U
2) Asus RT-AC68U
3) [Special Offer] Linksys EA6350
* Buy Linksys EA6350 from TIME & get it installed for you for FREE. Covers support as well.

Thanks.
*
Well not constant but 80% of the speed and above.

Just got my 100mbps TIME installation done today. Quite happy with the speed. However, unable to get IPv6.

Does TIME not provide IPv6?

What brand is your router ?

You using wifi or Lan cable ?

Can take a speed test and post here ?

I have 100mbps but using wifi I'm getting 30mbps below

Ermm. Want to ask, I bought a new router yesterday and also bought a cat7 lan cable to connect from the modem provided by Time and to the new router I configured yesterday. The router that I bought came with cat5.E cable but I decided to use cat7 cable.

Any wrong in using cat7 cable or switch back to cat5.E that came in the box with the router ?

I'm subscribe to Time 100mbps and after buying a new dlink router and upgrading the router firmware and setting everything on the router I'm able to get good speed on my nokia Lumia 930 phone.

Wow!  You use your own Wi-Fi router or Wi-Fi router provided by TIME?
*
Time did provided me with the Dlink Dir-850L router but I personally went and spent RM1000 on a new Dlink Dir-890L router. Hehe

Isn't that overkill for an apartment? Your coverage is to how many sq ft? The free router could not make it to cover whole area?
*
My condo unit size is about 3500 sq ft

I feel the router time provided me cant cover the entire unit thus reducing the WiFi signal strength.

Anyway I'm very happy with my router and hope it wont give me any problems in the future. smile.gif

my signal strength (RSSI) is just maintaining at -50 and I cant go any lower then that.

I managed to change my channel from 11 to 8 on 2.4GHz and as you can see the channel quality is rated 5/5 stars.

Overall network quality I got a score of 7/10.

right now my desktop is using wireless N network adapter but I'm planning to upgrade it to AC soon and then maybe there shall be improvement on the network quality hmm.gif

Hi,

I'm currently on Time 100Mbps for a year or so now and im very happy with the service since there were not a single downtime and the speed have been consistent !

I'm interested to upgrade my Time 100Mbps to 500Mbps but the bill for it is expensive. Any special offer or promotion in the future ?

What about 1Gbps package ? When will it reach to the public ?

I have about 12 devices connected to the internet at home.

Few iphone, few iPad, few MacBook, windows phone and a Windows desktop

Thank you.

Anyone can confirm or not ? Can it be upgraded for old users to get a new replacement router ?

They should treat everyone fairly on this be it old or new subscriber since everyone is paying for their service.

Just replace everyone's current router to the new one to avoid any unhappy users like me and also from configuring back the router settings when we upgrade our current router firmware. This is what you call services done in a proper and right way.

Time, I hope you are seeing this.
