Hi, I applied Time Home Broadband last year April and signed a contract for 2 years.

I am currently requested by house owner to move out, and the Time Plan still has 8 months to go.

Will I get a penalty for terminating it before 2 years usage?

A question..

1) I installed TIME 100mbps @ 128 at PJ rented house. But I moved out to Bukit Jalil.
2) Bukit Jalil don't have TIME, so I installed Unifi, yet and leave the TIME at PJ house due to 2 year contract. (6 months left)
3) Now I saw my condo got TIME Fibre equipments and asked the management, they said they are installing TIME.

Main Question: If I wanted to transfer TIME from PJ to current house, at the same time cancel Unifi. Will TIME pay the RM500 penalty for me?

Hi, previously I have applied Time Fibre 100mbps @ PJ condo. And I didn't want to terminate this as someone is still using.

Yesterday the condo I currently live in, @ Bukit Jalil.. Time is available, and I was told I can applied for the RM500 rebate if I switch from Unifi to Time. Which mean under my name, I will have 2 Time Fibre services.. Is this true?

omg guys! I terminated my UniFi and switched to Time. But I was shocked by the penalty bill which cost me RM1k including Unifi (500), HyppTv (300) & Ruby Pack (330) Penalty.

For those who have yet to subscribe Unifi for more than 1 year, please do not terminate / switch to TIME unless you are willing to pay for the extra penalty for HyppTV.

Apparently, HyppTV has a minimum contract for at least 1 year. Which is not written in the contract u signed during installation progress. At least not inside for mine.

I am still sorting my case out to waived my HyppTV penalty, not sure whether it was possible or not. As I was told during my termination, my penalty was RM500 and return all the equipment.

Time down at oug parklane, again.. zzzzz

report id: 791555

EDIT: As soon as I posted it, connection came back online. It was down for about 30mins I guess.

Im happy with Time's internet speeds/connection/ping. But without fail, it has reliability issues at Oug parklane.

So far it was down on 25th Nov, 1st Dec and today 26 Dec..

25th Nov = internet down couple of hours
1st Dec = internet down for 1 and a half day or so
26th Dec = internet down for 30 mins.
dont really know whats the issue here..
*
OUG here also.. but not from your condo,
I didn't face any issues you mentioned

Guys, I rented a place at Sunway Damansara recently moving out from Kota Damansara which is just a stone's throw away. To my surprise, the new place which I rented does not have TIME coverage which I only aware after I wrote in and inform my relocation. So what choice do I have but to cancel? Later they reply me to pay penalty fee of RM500 because of termination before the contract lapses.

I don't mind paying the relocation fee of RM120 and happy to continue using their service but the problem is due to the unavailability of coverage!  rclxub.gif

I don't think this penalty is justifiable at all. What do you guys think?
*
I think you are selfish.
You promised to use for 24 months contract, yet you didn't fulfill and complain doh.gif

yea I know it is a 24 months contract, but I am complaining because the lack of flexibility. First time subscribing to wired internet and I didn't think much about it as the sales guy talked me into it. I constantly move here and there all across Malaysia. Rarely settled due to job nature.

Anyway, I would still pay for the penalty fee before gets any trouble. So no more wired connection service for me anymore.

I got 2 TIME account under my name right now, I moved from PJ, so I let the new tenant use it, they are paying me the monthly fee.

there are many ways to solve it if you wanted to

you can transfer the ownership to the next tenant, save yourself a RM500.

there are many solutions out there, or you cantransfer to any new application, u just need to pay the relocation fee & ownership.. just ask around if anyone would like to take it biggrin.gif

not yet break, about to because as suggested by lyrilmaki, I could nego with landlord and maybe let them continue the contract.
*
it's a good deal, the new tenant don't have to bear the contract, meanwhile you don't have to pay rm500 penalty.
if they didn't pay you, they got no internet to use, and can't install a new one brows.gif

but it's better for u to transfer the name away, that's the best option

u should ask the advice from @yeapch01 or jjj, they are the support for TIME here.

I just bought a hot glue gun and some hot glue stick from MR DIY and stick myself. icon_rolleyes.gif

It seems the cable starts fall off once in a while, it will come in handy to doing it yourself for the fixing
*
wonder why their hot glue now so lausy..
previously my PJ condo stick nice nice, no issue..
current house can't last more than 2 weeks then started to fall off

Dear Bro
Sorry to hear that , do u think maybe possible due to other factors such as power failure or fibre inconsistentcy.

Have you upgrade the firmware ?

Thanks
*
Didn't upgrade before..
Erm my internet didn't disconnect.
It was purely on my desktop which connected to LAN, my WiFi still working good.

It just somehow turn off and turning on again.

I didn't upgrade firmware before.

Erm!

I can certify this but not sure if the offer still valid or not.

I signed up when TIME offers:-
1. rebate of RM500.00; or
2. free first month's fee

of course, for the rebate to be applicable, you need to show them your current UNIFI bill. UNIFI's contract is for 24 months minimum and you will be levied penalty fee of RM500.00 if terminated prematurely.

that RM500.00 rebate will be credited monthly into your TIME account, meaning to say, you won't need to pay the monthly fees for about 3 months. a lot of people mistaken this rebate is in cash form but it is not, so you still need to pay from your own pocket the RM500.00 first.

whatever it is, i still see win win situation for us consumer and TIME.
