QUOTE(alexleow81 @ Sep 30 2018, 08:25 PM) If u get free router by TIME --> AC1200, no point because you are not able to achieve full speed 500Mbps! Max only 300Mbps! Even on 5GHz band cant get more than 300Mbps?

QUOTE(Andy72 @ Sep 30 2018, 07:47 PM) My RT-AC5300 only managed to get me 700Mbps on 5GHz Wifi. Very seldom get above 900Mbps. I think is due to interference from neighbours Wifi. On LAN can get full speed 1Gbps. Mine was 300Mbps upgraded to 1Gbps. U can download wifi analyzer on android or pc to check if ur neighbour ssid are running on the same channels as yours. 5GHz less likely to intefere. But u can check and change the channel in your router if necessary.

QUOTE(djhenry91 @ Oct 2 2018, 06:01 PM) Dual band but diff standard, N vs AC “WiFi is always promoted using 'theoretical' speeds and by this standard 802.11ac is capable of 1300 megabits per second (Mbps) which is the equivalent of 162.5 megabytes per second (MBps). This is 3x faster than the typical 450Mbps speed attributed to 802.11n”

QUOTE(cnks @ Oct 3 2018, 04:15 PM) RM129 for 10Mbps I think. Mine is RM179 for 15 Mbps, got upgraded to 300Mbps with the same price. New 300Mbps plan was RM189. Oh ya... 50Mbps is the boosted speed
