not likely pure fd. casa or investment related. affin loves customer to put down some $$ in casa.

I received call from HL this morning. Saying return of 5 to 6%. Even offered to see me in my office ! When pressed further, a saving plan ! Said TQ and bye !

5% unlikely to be straight/pure FD. Curious with the T & C Wiliam mentioned. I bet some sort of UT/investment or CASA tie up.

My HLB PB officer wants to 'talk' to me but I told him, I'll only retain $$ in bank if they offer me FD 4.5% w/o T&C. At this moment, I've transferred out >50% of my matured FD today.

I've written to Affin customer service & the reply still said it's only for selected branches.

Not true. They just ask you to open account (only rm100 and can leave rm20 inside). Well that applies usually to their longest FD (no one without any % in CASA). I usually take the one without % in CASA). Ex loyal customer of affin bank.

we are talking of affin fd promo. they like to ask people to put in casa for recent promo.

No. But they offer to assist me if i'm interested. Great customer service.

ex is an ex. affin current fd promo require 5k in casa.

no such thing as straight 5% FD rate promo for 12mth. sure have some kind of link to UT or needed to keep some in CASA.
