Hi Guys, I'm sorry for my previous info, would like to clarify that the Affin Bank 4.5% 12month promo was obtained at the Affin Bank Subang Jaya branch. Hope this helps! Minimum 10k fresh fund.
Edit: Perhaps this will clarify it further. Bank:Affin Bank Branch/Location:Subang Jaya Date of Report/Placement:24/05/2016 Effective Interest/Profit Rate:4.5% Promo Period (if any):They did mentioned to me it's a short term promo Minimum Placement:10k fresh fund Other Requirements: - Website/T&C (if any): - Previous forumer posted he obtained the same promo at Affin Bank Cheras, perhaps it was only valid for selected branches. My MBB GIA-i step-up 7th month 4.5% interest today (finally
Was told several people affected in the same branch as well, maybe a bundle ! Hahaha. The officer said it is some coding issue of the GIA-i making it go to normal GIA-i with 4% payout. So for next 5 months, they will have to manually credit the difference to my SA. I just hope no need for me to remind them for next 5 months. The officer said they have set up a chart for those affected. |

QUOTE(ycs @ May 25 2016, 03:31 PM) is it ok to break 100k into 10 x 10k FD placements? so that if need to premature withdraw, no need lose too much? Sure, no problem...but that means u need to take care of 10 fd at the same time. why dont you put it into a staggered FD,like 10k, 20k, 30k.... the purpose of put into FD, to earn the interest...especially promo fd..try to fulfill the terms so u can enjoy the interest. just my 2c.. |

QUOTE(bbgoat @ May 25 2016, 08:25 PM) Instead of 10 cert, try 10k, 20k, 30k, 40k. 4 certs. You can withdraw any amt that u need in multiples of 10k. Less certs to take care of. i already whack 10 certs in MBB eFD just now, no issues since its all online, easy to jagatomorrow will check out nearby affin for the 4.5% |

Best to check with the bank. Downside is that you have 10Certs to sign. QUOTE(ycs @ May 25 2016, 05:59 PM) Hahaha why should they laugh at you? If they do, that's just being very unprofessional to new clients. That's your hard earned money, and they wouldn't know if you have 1mil lying somewhere else... |

QUOTE(LNYC @ May 25 2016, 06:48 PM) Sure, no problem... It makes no difference even if you staggered it as per your suggestion. The interest rate will still be the same. Besides, eFD is simple, even if it is 10 of them. You're not doing it over the counter and he has some measure of ensuring he has money in the event he constantly needs it.but that means u need to take care of 10 fd at the same time. why dont you put it into a staggered FD,like 10k, 20k, 30k.... the purpose of put into FD, to earn the interest...especially promo fd..try to fulfill the terms so u can enjoy the interest. just my 2c.. |

I m sorry I didn't make myself clear. Actually what I m trying to say is staggered it and just withdraw the amt he needs and don't disturb the others. so the higher possibly he cn still enjoy the interest from the others fd. Anyway, the efd he just placed really save a lot of efforts. |

It makes no difference as I've said. With RM10k x 10 placements, he can withdraw any amount he wants at any time. If he needs RM30k, he withdraws 3 FDs and still remain RM70k which will still net him the eFD campaign rates.so the higher possibly he cn still enjoy the interest from the others fd. Anyway, the efd he just placed really save a lot of efforts. Small staggered amounts are more for people who anticipate they may need that sum soon. |
