The new term is already known. Stated at the second paragraph but yeah, previous terms should be removed.

I went to pbb today to get the pin for Internet banking. I wasn't able to register the cards successfully when I first got them. The CS person says I can view supp card transactions online even for separate supp account. I need to wait till 7pm before I can use the pin.

Maybe do this after the stop the separate quota?

Am thinking how they will calculate the quota if the supp card statement dates are diff from that of principal card.
Maybe have to change all dates to synchronize?

Wow. So, I may have gotten the run around as well with different explanations? I did call CS few months back and was asked to go to branch. Only managed to do so today. blush.gif

Haven't registered. Need to wait till 7pm for pin to be active. The pin is valid for 30 days. I'm thinking to register tomorrow instead during work hours. One thing to note is I haven't had any internet banking with pbb before.

Off topic, hlb connect is good. Able to register on my own after getting the atm pin. Can immediately see my existing FDs. Even the one I placed today. Not bad.

Haha. Yes, hard copy statements. I only got this card few months only. Been too busy with work (which is good given the current economic situation in this country).

Hlb fd promo isn't pure fd. Need to open at least a savings account with $20. I did that today and it was quite fast. I prefer pure fd but this is good coz interests banked in monthly. biggrin.gif

Called CS today again re ebanking for supp card holder with separate statement.

Answer:
Only possible if supp card holder has pbb saving/current acc to create internet banking.
ie. supp card holder per se not deemed as PBB account holder so tak boleh create internet account.

Principal card holders do not need CASA in PBB to create account.

If statement are separate for Prin & supp...tak boleh add the supp card to the e-banking acct of the principle card.

Only way is for supp card holder to apply for CASA...then supp card holder can add supp card to the ebanking acct created using the CASA acct. leceh betul .

So when they remove the separate quota, we should press for the bank to merge both statements and combine the portal. Based on logic, we are getting separate quota because of separate statement. So if in future supp share the same quota, they should be able to merge it also. Else takkan they will calculate the rebate manually.

Delayed maybe due to the new Premium Cards campaign, as they need to sort out the T&C?

If u don't need your supp card to have a separate statement, u can request to have them in one statement/acct. transactions for supp card are categorised separately , but in the same statement.

Is this what you meant by "merging" the accounts?

actually i dont understand why u guys are so hard up on getting pbe access for supp cards. If use pbe to do payment, no CB what, what for use pbe?

All online payments can be done elsewhere (uobpayonline etc..) no need PBe access.

2 of my supp cards got pbe, yeah must go personally to branch .

only benefit is can see online your transactions, that is all.

if no access to pbe online, still can keep tract of the transactions done what. that is what i did for my other supps who have no time to go bank open pbe.

eh really? when i registered for it i actually compared the t&c with the everyswipe one and noticed it's bout the same only hmm.gif
now i read again the new update is mainly exclusions of bill payments? but payonline shld be safe
since everyswipe excludes payment for utilities, gov-related payments, insurance premiums as well but those we paid via uob payonline were eligible tho, most likely they were counted as online transactions

in fact i was thinking even with normal usage of this card like how we do every month to maximise 6%cb with >RM833 online/groceries/dining (since there're all included in the new promo as well), there's already a good chance we'll receive the extra 18% cb, and the trick is to concentrate swipes mainly on tuesdays if we wanna be sure.
well we dun lose anything by just registering right? after all is like a free chance for extra cb. and when they come up with a better promo next we can jump ship anytime laugh.gif

I have a feeling they knew they made a mistake for not including bill payment in everts wipe counts campaign. That's why they added the term for this contest so they will definitely pay more attention now.

It's in the link provided (balance transfer form)
valid for 4 months throughout campaign period from 1st january till 30th april 2016
but only for dining on fridays, 50% cb capped at RM50 per month
so it's like another competition still sweat.gif

got two possible reasons:

1. bill/utility payment no longer entitled (assume you did).
2. the contest is over. so they compile the rest of the weeks winners and announce on one go.

account registered under this Promotion within 2 - 4 weeks after the end of each
subsequent week and shall be reflected in the Participant’s credit card statement,

For VS, the cash back is 18% capped at RM100 per month.

The 'month' is based on the date set by PBB, ie Month 1 = Dec 15, 2015 ~ Jan 11, 2016, divided to 4 weeks, with each week RM11,500 allocation, first come first serve.

You may read in detail here: https://www.pbebank.com/pdf/Promotions/tc-visaprecards.aspx

i think, your supp card holder should go to bank instead of you.

for my case, which my supp card holder has separate statement with me, bank need her to go for the application to tie the card to her online account, but not me.

i am not too sure for those who has the same statement for both principal and supp card.

i am not too sure for those who has the same statement for both principal and supp card.

We went. Dunno why give us one temp id only. I'll go again when I'm free.

This card is totally awesome. Just got my first year end summary. Total loyalty & rewards is RM652.36 and I managed to have zero Finance Charges hehehe. Never thought it could accumulate to 600+ when I first got the card.

Anybody here is participating “PB Debit Card 20% Cash Back for Government Related Transactions” and won CB for Nov2015 (9. The 20% Cash Back will be credited into Cardmembers’ account within six (6) – eight (8) weeks after the eligible Government Related transactions)?

The "third party agencies" in T&C 4. The following persons are excluded from participating this campaign:- Cardmember(s) who pay via pbebank online and third party agencies. refer to paying govt bills thru UOBPayonline, POSonline, M2U?

Can only pay thru GOvt Dept's own portals if any or thru counter?

Just to confirm again that if principal spends RM833 and supplementary spends RM833 on eligible cash back categories, can only get cash back of RM50 for principal card right? Because my understanding is that supplementary's cash back is combined with the principal's card. Hence only one card can spend up till RM833 on eligible cash back categories right? Thanks!

Halo,

Would like to inquire, for the supplementary card holder; can they get auto annual fee waiver of 12 swipe per year similar to principle card holder?

Anyone tried having 2 supplementary card and is the RM50 Cash Rebate quote is given to each supplementary card separately? I.e. The total max possible Cash Back is RM150 (Principle RM50 + Supplementary X2 (RM50 X 2). Many Thanks. smile.gif

Mine was combined previously. The PBe still only show principle cards only. CS confirmed there is no supp card listed at the card summary screen. Later on when i swiped my supp card, the transaction appeared in the principle card unbilled transaction. It was also listed separately in the combined statement.

Good morning. I logged into pbe online and I realized I can't check yet. Haven't used the pbb supp card for unbilled transaction. I was busy maximizing the cashback from HLB card. laugh.gif

Quick question to everyone. For separate principal & supplementary card statements, do we still pay the total amount (principal & supp) to the principal account as normal? I'd say it's a "yes" but would like confirmation. Thanks.

nope, pay to supp acc. since statements are no longer combined
in this case they actually view supp as a separate acc sweat.gif

If your spending 10k or less, stick with essential. I had gave up OCBC cause they revise the benefit quite frequent eg OCBC platinum 5% to 1% and finally 0.1%. Fortune card need to spend minimum 2k a month or else you won't get any cashback.

IKEA RESTAURANT was listed as eligible for dining cash back at the first post. So is this Ikea restaurant now considered as not eligible now?

I just swiped at Ikea Cheras Restaurant last weekend, let see whether I got the CB. Btw, which Ikea Restaurant you had visited?

Since bill payment and utilities are ruled out, less people interested. MOreover the allocated winnings are too little, and capped at rm100 per month rather than per week.

I think most if not all payments thru UOBpayonline have mcc code 4814, which is online bill payment. According to 2 PBB CSs I consulted this code is not eligible for the Premiercards campaign but they could be wrong. For me I avoid them.

I went to swipe at SSPN yesterday. Not sure qualified for this promo or not?
Also i planned to convert that swipe into flexi installment. Not sure still qualified? As i read the TnC said ZIIP is qualified.
Got to wait until promo end and rewards announced only can tell.

technically paying bill at Sam using CIMB CC is 13% if you have Sam membership card.

online purchases abit hard unless you have things to buy... and i tend to buy from US website. time zone is another problem.

PBB has been reducing their rate of CB which is why the comments. Last year MBB was giving 100%, then a number of banks were offering 20 to 30%. Of course 10% is still better than nothing.
But I wonder what type of people wants less? Definate not those with the right mind.

I have entered promo with HLB and MBB and they have much less stringent tnc and better CB. If you join those promos and then compare against PBB you will realize that PBB is not only applying lots of rules but also less CB and also less in quota per week/month contest.

Thus, they are stingy! tongue.gif

Hi,

Can you please elaborate? I don't see PBB in the payee drop down list, where can I register PBB as payee to pay for my statement balance? I am thinking of applying for PBB VS but not yet.

Thanks for your help.

"New Interbank fund transfer".... which you can also set to [Add] "Favourite Interbank fund transfer".... which will reduce needing TAC for future payments...

Wonder where is the best way to apply it? Heard some CC if apply online can receive freebies.

Do you guys ever change statement date of this card?

When I requested to change statement date from 23rd to 1st last time, CS told me i will recv one last statement on 23rd and and then another statement on 1st, and I entitle separate rebate for each statement. CS said, rebate is tie to each statement.

Unfortunately, I do not have any transaction between 23rd to 1st, therefore I couldnt verify this. But I can confirm that I did recv 2 statements, one on 23rd and one on following 1st.

Someone was saying that the transactions are merge into one statement when you request for statement date change, which, I think this is something not sync with what SC has told me.

in fact what cs told me was the opposite.. if i change statement date then my rebate will be forfeited for one cycle
as my usage was quite heavy that time and that would render me zero cashback for 6weeks, which i didnt want it to happen
so in the end i canceled my request to change date

but in the previous thread somebody did mention that they received separate cb for each statement, i.e. 2 times RM50 cb in a month
anyway if that's the real case cant we just keep on changing the dates and receive extraaaa cb?? tongue.gif laugh.gif

Both Ang Pow and Premium Cards Rewards has the following condition: "exclude the transactions that earn Cash Back under other on-going Cash
Back promotion
"

Can I interpret as spend 555 for 18% CB then another 888 for RM88 CB?

Hi, noob question here:

If I am not mistaken we can only qualify for either ONE of the promotions - Premium Cards Usage Campaign (20% CB) or PM Anniversary Ang Pow Rewards (10% CB), right? If so, naturally, 20% CB is much better.

Also, does petrol qualify for these promos?

Thanks.

not noob, wise question to ask biggrin.gif petrol eligible for promo, but not for the monthly 6%, I prefer 1 stone 2 birds, 3 the best!

Tricky T&C mention Premium Usage CB not eligible for BILL PAYMENTS (UOB Payonline to stay out), then Ang Pow rewards not eligible for UTILITIES PAYMENT (Same with every week swipes) (UOB Payonline back alive but not for TNB), is that so? hmm.gif

If purchase a RM2,000 laptop and convert the purchase to flexipay, does it eligible for this campaign?

Or the flexipay here refers to flexipay monthly instalment?

Safe to say TNB via UOBpayonline is not eligible, same as every swipe promo.

This new promo is worded less strict as the premier campaign, no usage of the word void. So still not sure whether if we send sms to enrol, the premier campaign will be voided. Technically, it only excluded the transactions that earn CB in other promo. So I take it that if we register for both and the transaction missed the quota for premier campaign, it will count towards this new one. Will email to CS.

Thanks for info. I have Infinite, not yet VS. I am trying to cram in as much as I can for the 20% premium usage cb. Also, I notice that PB allocated only RM11k+ for each week for this 20% cb promo, so I guess I have to wake up early and swipe it on Tuesday (first day of weekly promo)?

Since I have to go to work, I guess best I fill up my tank with petrol and get 20% cb. I might also wake up early to buy something online.

For online transactions, e.g. lazada, I am still eligible for 20% cb on top of whatever discounts if I use the shopback (https://www.shopback.my/pb)?

Thanks.

For everyswipe trx exclude utility so tnb waterbills out but paying them thru uobpay got d mcc 4814 ie bill payment. Some got CB cos of this loophole. Premium cards campaign add on exclusion for bill payment which I thought excl all trx thru uobpay n also mobilebills cos mcc is 4814.

My card statement date is 6th of every month.
For transaction done on 6/1/16 and posted on 6/1/16, does it go into Jan statement or Feb statement?

valentino luggage bags look quite nice. my wife emailed application 2.1.16,
received call verification 8.1.16, cards received 14.1.16 via courier.
RM50 swiped, sms , luggage bag should come by may 2016.

Has anyone registered for the new get RM88 with swipe RM888?
CNY is good time to swipe RM888,
but will it cancel off our existing CB 18-20%?

I never interested on luggage bags, I got pressure cooker when I applied for it.
3 weeks will be the maximum time for the whole process, from apply till you get the card. If later than that, better call them and ask, as sometimes the card is being hijacked. Each year sure have such case happening.

Hi guys,

I just notice in post #2, Grocery [MCC: 5411] - this does not include AEON BIG in MV & SJ? These are the 2 largest AEON BIGs, so I thought they are also MCC 5411?

Is this list on post #2 updated?

Thanks.

You are comparing with the Ang Pow promo with RM100k allocation per month, rite?

The Ang Pow promo allocation is higher, but it is open for all PB cards.

The usage campaign is exclusive to Infinite and Signature cars only.

The CB for the Premium Cards campaign is based on transaction date.
I made a Groupon.my purchase on 5/1(Tue 01:00 Malaysian time) n because it was processed at www.groupon.co.uk the transaction date recorded in PBB system was 4/1(Mon 17:00), ie 8 hrs earlier.
On 12/1(Tue 09:00 Malaysia time) did another Groupon.my purchase, this time the transaction date recorded in PBB system was 12/1(Tue 01:00).

According to the CS, only the 2nd trx is eligible for the CB. What do u guys think?

I was afraid of this too, by the time UK is Tue 00:00, Malaysia already 08:00 by then all quota might be taken up (if awarded in realtime). So not wise.

Okay, some update on the Angpow promo:

QUOTE
1. If you register for Angpow promo, the premium card promo is voided. thanks to the super clause:  Qualified Cardmember will only be eligible to this campaign except if he/she registers via SMS for other future usage campaign. Then, he/she may be disqualified for this campaign.

2. TNB under payonline considered as utility so not eligible.

Thanks for the update. From T&C (RM88 Angpow, Every Swipe and Visa Premium) it stated that payment for utilities are excluded, even since the "Every Swipe" promo last year. This means they are fixing the flaw? Hope my transaction in mid-December for Every Swipe promo still eligible, was aiming for RM100 (8 swipes). Keeping my fingers crossed.

Its very challenging to complain to BNM if your loan or card application is rejected.

BNM will only step in if you are an existing customer with no default but suddenly your facilities was cancelled without good reason.

Else if Banks force to approve facilities and NPLS go up, Banks will ask BNM for compensation.

Just my opinion, u can try to complain

My long awaited PBB card finally arrived. I sent all my documents on 4 Dec 2015, got it approved on 15 Jan 2016, received the card just now. The longest credit card application in my life doh.gif. So whoever still waiting for their card approval can use my case as a benchmark. Btw i applied thru ringgitplus so am not sure this is the root case but unlikely as the documents are directly emailed to PBB personnel.

Now PBB said that I am still entitled for ringgitplus promo (end 31 dec 2015) but not the latest promo from PBB. The latest promo is much better than the ringgitplus promo.
But my supp card promo where suppose to get blender not entitled coz approved 15 Jan 2016, which is after promo end on 31 Dec 2015. But I can appeal though after 1st swipe on the supp card.

Look like they have different policy for principal and supp cards sad.gif

It is the third instalment of Accords developed by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, a global voluntary regulatory framework adopted by BNM recently for stress test on banks' capital adequacy and market liquidity risk.

Basel III supposed to strengthen bank capital requirements by increasing bank liquidity and decreasing bank leverage. The CET1/RWAs ratio of 4.5% must be maintained at all times by the banks from year 2015 onwards.

basically yes, and strive for more deposits from wholesales and retail depositors at the same time. Hence now you may see there are a lot of fixed deposit preferential rate promotions among the banks.

Hi guys,

My insurance premium with Manulife is deducted by Manulife annually from my MBB credit card. If I change this to PB Infinite/VS, is this entitled for 6% rebate?

Thanks.

insurance premium and/or auto debit do not fall in any 6% category (online/dining/groceries), hence not entitle for the 6% rebate.

Thanks for the quick response. May I know how can I qualify for the rebate for paying insurance? Maybank2U bill payment? Any other examples?

Quoting post #2:
"Please be informed that you will enjoy the 6% rebate if it is a eCommerce transaction including bill payment/insurance (exclude transaction via www.pbebank.com).

Thanks.

i find it hard to believe you only bother to read the first 3 words instead of the entire sentence.

https://www.pbebank.com/pdf/Promotions/tc-angpowre.aspx

“Qualified Retail Transactions” shall include all local and overseas retail
spending, online purchases and new Zero Interest Instalment Plan (ZIIP) full
purchase amount (not monthly instalment) and exclude the transactions that
earn Cash Back under other on-going Cash Back promotion, flexipay,
balance transfer, auto-debit, recurring payments, payments for utilities,
direct marketing, insurance premiums, government related payments,
payment via www.pbebank.com and ATM, cash advance/ cash
withdrawal, quasi cash, casino transaction, interest payments, late
payment fees, finance charges, annual fees, reversals, payment to
charity(ies) and any form of service/ miscellaneous fees.

Thanks reply.

I actually did read but didn't want to quote the whole thing in the reply.

Payment for utilities i am not sure cause astro is some luxury item and a service purchased right? Is it all forms of bills are not qualified.

If your insurance company has online payment gateway then u will entitle for it.

OT: The best card for me on insurance auto-debit would be Aeon Watami.

for pbb they have been inconsistent with their tnc. if i interpret it correctly bill payment is not excluded. so astro is acceptable.

If you manage to qualify for all.... the transactions would be like normal retail (qualifying for the promo cb) but not the 6% cb...

Note: only one promo at any one time... it happens all the 3 promos overlaps...

1. Bil Cukai Taksiran Tanah definitely not eligible for the Premier Card promo right - government related payments, bill payment?

2. But will it still earn 6% CB if it is paid using UOBpayonline? If the address is too long to fit in the space, will it go through if I use short form?

If you did the transaction after Friday 5pm, sure it won't reflect on your online unbilled statement.
Wait till Wednesday evening and check.
This month my timing run away due to CNY shopping.
Anyway, just checked on my account, there's a floating transaction under Authorised Charges, which should be your UOB transactions. Looks like now they are not accepting multiple transactions in 1 goal.

Just in case you are asking if any other bank's supp card has got separate cash back "quota" CIMB cash back has it . rclxms.gif
No need to have separate statement
*
Ya, I aware that cimb got separate cashback. But PBBVS make till sup cardholder like very "powerful" where principal has no knowledge on what they r spending on unless u call to ask..
So I'm thinking they treat sup cardholder as principal if u request for separate stmt.. Even the sup card free gift on blender also they call n deliver to sup cardholder instead of principal

which one u prefer?

1)make supp cards powerless, principal can see all supp cards' transactions - no separate Cash back for supp cards
2)make supp cards's transactions not visible in principal login access - separate statements - give separate cashback for each supp card.

No 2 any time!

the moment CB stops, i will stop using those cards....
me waiting for statement 27th, and 1st see if those 2 supp cards also can get separate CB ,
that would be really something. pbb system i can say quite "disorganised" in issuing new supp cards.

Just called PBB to check, my VS is approved smile.gif. Now just waiting for them to call me for card collection.

I am wondering, how do I activate pin number for pbb cards? Is it like MBB where I go to the branch to do it?

Thanks.

If you are referring to the PIN that allows you to make online transaction, it should be automatically activated.

How would they know my PIN? I got my PB Visa Infinite last month, but I forgot the ask the branch. I did not enter any PINs. Now that I am getting the VS soon, shall I go to branch to do this?

Thanks.

You seem to refer to the PIN for the Card, NOT PIN for the online transaction.
usually new PIN will be sent in a separate mailer apart from the credit card like 2 weeks later. Such a PIN is to allow you for cash withdrawal. And if your card is equipped with newest PIN & PAY, then the PIN is your ultimate 'signature' from 2017 onwards.

if we get the card in 'pin' form.. then we don't have to sign for now? just enter the pin code will do?

If you did the transaction after Friday 5pm, sure it won't reflect on your online unbilled statement.
Wait till Wednesday evening and check.
This month my timing run away due to CNY shopping.
Anyway, just checked on my account, there's a floating transaction under Authorised Charges, which should be your UOB transactions. Looks like now they are not accepting multiple transactions in 1 goal.

I think so, but my transaction went through, so it is not a question to begin with.
I can get the usual TAC and online can see the transaction.

With the recommendation letter, do you still need to provide your salary slip or income statement for the application?
