I went to pbb today to get the pin for Internet banking. I wasn't able to register the cards successfully when I first got them. The CS person says I can view supp card transactions online even for separate supp account. I need to wait till 7pm before I can use the pin.

Wow. So, I may have gotten the run around as well with different explanations? I did call CS few months back and was asked to go to branch. Only managed to do so today. blush.gif

Haven't registered. Need to wait till 7pm for pin to be active. The pin is valid for 30 days. I'm thinking to register tomorrow instead during work hours. One thing to note is I haven't had any internet banking with pbb before.

Off topic, hlb connect is good. Able to register on my own after getting the atm pin. Can immediately see my existing FDs. Even the one I placed today. Not bad.

many of us shared our horrible stories in the old thread  tongue.gif
um u dun have any internet banking with pbb?? u mean all this while ur receiving hardcopy statement ah?

off topic: eh hlb can place pure fd kah? even without a saving account? then can straightaway activate online acc samo? my fd with pb maturing another few days time, very very tempted with the hlb 6 months 4.5% fd  tongue.gif
*
Haha. Yes, hard copy statements. I only got this card few months only. Been too busy with work (which is good given the current economic situation in this country).

Hlb fd promo isn't pure fd. Need to open at least a savings account with $20. I did that today and it was quite fast. I prefer pure fd but this is good coz interests banked in monthly. biggrin.gif

This is for your principal right? have you tried the steps at post 2?

Yes to both questions. Tried months ago but failed. Called cs and was asked to go to branch to apply.

Update: I'm able to register online without calling CS. I guess the temporary id and password took a while to be activated (maybe more than a day). I can only see my transactions online. I guess I have to go back again to PBB branch and apply another online account for the supplementary card. sad.gif

i think, your supp card holder should go to bank instead of you.

for my case, which my supp card holder has separate statement with me, bank need her to go for the application to tie the card to her online account, but not me.

i am not too sure for those who has the same statement for both principal and supp card.
*
We went. Dunno why give us one temp id only. I'll go again when I'm free.

Mine was combined previously. The PBe still only show principle cards only. CS confirmed there is no supp card listed at the card summary screen. Later on when i swiped my supp card, the transaction appeared in the principle card unbilled transaction. It was also listed separately in the combined statement.

Ok, let me check on this later. Thx for the info.

Good morning. I logged into pbe online and I realized I can't check yet. Haven't used the pbb supp card for unbilled transaction. I was busy maximizing the cashback from HLB card. laugh.gif

Quick question to everyone. For separate principal & supplementary card statements, do we still pay the total amount (principal & supp) to the principal account as normal? I'd say it's a "yes" but would like confirmation. Thanks.

nope, pay to supp acc. since statements are no longer combined
in this case they actually view supp as a separate acc  sweat.gif

Ok, thanks for the info. Looks like need to do 2 giro then.

I'm thinking to switch my insurance payment to this card from Mbb 2 cards (visa). Do we get VIP points for insurance payment? I checked the t&c, it didn't mention insurance as exclusion from VIP points. Thx.

If u can pay your insurance online (like AIA.com.my or thru M2U, Payonline), then u can even earn 6% CB, better than VIP points.
*
That's true. But I'm using the 6% for groceries and dining. Prefer auto-debit from my cc.

There are other CC u can use for grocery & dining, eg. HL Wise gives 10% CB.

I have hlb wise also. Mainly groceries and utilities. Using that card first before using pbb vs.

This card is in my consideration list as well. Due to other cards starting their cost cutting, need to find one that would suit insurance payment. smile.gif

Depending on your insurance premium, the alliance bank you:nique card might offer higher CR than the OCBC GE card. I'm also thinking which card to get...

My life insurance is yearly while investment/medical is monthly. It won't be consistent to max the cash back from younique card. Now that I think about it, 1% CB is very little. sad.gif

If I purchase airline tickets for other people, are they covered by the credit card travel insurance? I'm trying to find more details on this.
