QUOTE(fruitie @ Aug 5 2015, 12:48 AM) I was using IPv6 when using stock router. My setup is a little different but IPV6 works. Connection is LAN port (TM stock router) to LAN port (AP). I set my AP's IP Address as 192.168.0.2 since my TM stock router's IP Address is 192.168.0.1. I also disabled the DHCP Server on my AP. Finally, I changed the Start/End IPs on my TM stock router so that there are no IP clashes with the AP.

QUOTE(UserU @ Aug 4 2015, 03:42 PM) Can I know what revision your router is? Mine's G3 but it doesn't seem to be supported. Kinda sucks that I'm stuck with a non-upgradeable revision. Any firmware that is compatible with it? Mine is G1 i think. Well the stock router sucks anyway so just change it. QUOTE(biloxee @ Aug 1 2015, 06:32 PM) Happy to report that the agent didnt shit me. My appointment is on the 19th of August. Can't wait haha. This post has been edited by GreenSamurai: Aug 5 2015, 11:35 AM

QUOTE(fruitie @ Aug 5 2015, 11:07 AM) But is your AP a TP Link? No. But its nothing to do with brand. The location in the UI might be different so one would just have to locate it to set it...

QUOTE(fruitie @ Aug 5 2015, 11:07 AM) Then you can continue using your stock router? But is your AP a TP Link? Stock router sucks .... the line drops, cant even stream low res videos without buffering eventhough the router is just outside my room. By using the AP, everything is smooth.

How do you access the router now? Still can access from the old 192.168.1.1? Maybe I will just stick with IPv4 now. This post has been edited by fruitie: Aug 5 2015, 01:09 PM

I can access my TM stock router (192.168.0.1) and AP (192.168.0.2) from any PC/Laptop/Phone. I believe you can't access your TM Innatech anymore when connecting through yout AP, right?

What advantage it gives compared to using direct connection between modem--> router --> pc/laptop/smartphone ? AP stands for access point. It's basically a router that transmit wifi signals from the main router. It is used to expand the wifi range. Example, Point A is the router while Point B is your room. The wifi signal can't reach your room as it only reaches the middle point between point a and b. You can't move your room or the router right? What you can do now is to turn your unused router sitting in the storeroom and turn it into an AP, connect it to the main router and put it in the middle point and voila your room has wifi signal now.
