The problem is if LAN can get, it's useless for me. sad.gif

I can't accept a bad stock router. They can't expect every single user to buy their own routers.

I think I will call to cancel the upgrade.

Sigh. After all the waiting, this is what I get.

You could test downloading a video from your phone to your laptop wirelesly to check your throughput. I just checked mine at my desk and its about 28Mbps only when I'm just 1.5m from the router (Wireless N300). It gets worse the further away I more from my desk.

I think i want to complain to mcmc and see how before i opt for new router. The technician also seem on our side lol. saying tm already knew about the router problem but still went with the upgrade.

But at first time after my technician configure my setting, I did get about 26 mbps but that it, it only that one time.

From the first page. "PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU PROCEED"

5. UniFi is a wired broadband service. Wireless connectivity is an option and is subject to interference and obstructions factor.

Is yours the stock router? unsure.gif
*
No. Its a D-link for Streamyx that I plan to use as an AP to extend my wireless coverage.

Currently I have no issue with my WiFi, always around 11Mbps up and down on my VIP10. It's pretty stable for me. sad.gif
Sigh, do I really need to?
I don't know how to install, I always have problems with router. Always have to spend 1-2days to figure which part went wrong. laugh.gif
*
You should consider your devices' wireless capability too. Can they use 5Ghz or AC?
If they can only use 2.4Ghz and if theres interference from other signals from your neighbours, maintaining a stable 30Mbps all the time may be difficult?

I don't know which one is mine, tried to Google but can't find the exact model yet. I can only recall it's silver colour. sweat.gif
Good that you are on stock, at least gives me hope. Flash router still OK for me, flashed few times for my TP-Link router.
laugh.gif Very smart of you. tongue.gif

Worse comes to worst will cancel this upgrade. wink.gif

These two the difference is just the antenna?

Btw, all these should work with UniFi right?

Help please.

Where do you set DHCP reservation in the UniFi router?
I want to set a specific LAN IP for my laptop.

By the way, do I have to call 100 to find out my PPPOE password
if I decide to replace the stock TM router? Can't find on occ.unifi.my...

You can log into your router then ay the page where the password is just change the page properties for that field from password to text. This is only applicable for chrome and don't worry that setting won't stick. You close chrome and reopen and it will revert back to normal.

Thanks got it. Btw, how do I change it? Are we allowed to change it on occ.unifi.my? Where?

This has nothing to do with the website. You have to do it in the router page. It's hard to teach you how to do it here so you'll have to google it.

No I meant I got the pwd for my user@unifi account but its something like GyYFdg63Ks and I would like to change it to something I can remember easily. Possible?

No idea bro. I flashed my dir-615 to dd-wrt the moment the TM guys left and have already given back the grey one to them when I cancelled my unifi 8 months ago because the new area that I am moving to no coverage yet. Eight months now without internet really can die.

Am told that next week coverage will be open to us but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Good luck bro.

How do you able to get 30mbps for that router? Mine also same but maximum i can get is only 15mbps

Don't put anything on the router. When I left the set-top box on it, the speed was affected.

Here my wifi setting...America lol tongue.gif
