I noticed that online games (Steam, MMOs) have pings increased by 100ms. Previously they would hover around 200+, now they're at 300+.

I've tried changing wireless channels, port forwarding, releasing + renewing IP, configuring adapter settings, disabling QoS, but they don't seem to help much.

To make things worse, I'm stuck with Unifi's crappy DIR-615 router with G3 firmware that is not even searchable on the Internet so I can't update the firmware or install a custom one on it.

Any suggestions?

I believe this is a routing issue. It happens from time to time.

Try a direct Ethernet connection. smile.gif

Forgot to add, I'm on a wired connection.

Probably routing issue if the latency to local server is fine. Not much you can do about it.

What I find weird is that testing latency on an SG server is way higher than a VN/PH server...

Previously, it wasn't like this.

No idea bro. I flashed my dir-615 to dd-wrt the moment the TM guys left and have already given back the grey one to them when I cancelled my unifi 8 months ago because the new area that I am moving to no coverage yet. Eight months now without internet really can die.

Am told that next week coverage will be open to us but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Can I know what revision your router is? Mine's G3 but it doesn't seem to be supported. Kinda sucks that I'm stuck with a non-upgradeable revision.

Any firmware that is compatible with it?
