I have a queries on tax filing calculation:

On my previous working with foreign company for period of 6 months, working location in Malaysia however my salary is paid in US dollar, monthly salary is remitted directly to RHB Bank multi currency account.

If I want to declare this income in Malaysia Ringgit, how should I do the currency exchange from USD to MYR ?
should I do conversion based on the Bank Negara exchange rate on every particular salary month or I can use current exchange rate ? ( fyi there is still unconverted USD in my multi currency account)

You are not alone. I'm same with you. Maybe is due to the file registered at different branch. Every year, my update show in system also is late. Then when it show, can be back dated 1 biggrin.gif

it's not if u want to, but ought to
when exercising employment in Malaysia, the employment income is derived from Malaysia, which is taxable regardless of the company status/salary currency (reference #6).
unless u screenshot the bank rate on the day u received salary, BNM rate on the date of receiving salary should be acceptable (when exchange USD to RM is irrelevant)

Yesterday I received the refund email and showed it as a successful refund, but the problem is I didn't receive any payment via Dutinow. I thought I had registered the IC but only the HP via Duitnow. after that i straight away go registered the IC via Dutinow but until today the refund no nowhere to be seen.
Has anyone encountered this before?

I tot you have to input your bank account number when submitting tax. It should go direct to your bank.

Sometimes it will takes a couple of days to show up in your bank account assuming you entered your bank account number when submitting be form.

Check section F "Jumlah elaun .... dikecualikan cukai" in your EA form. If the allowance is eligible for exemption, then it should appear here. Else don't simply deduct from total.

My car, petrol & travelling allowance registered at section F and the amount was not added to total income subject for tax.
