How about those books we pay for Kindergarden school fee, we do have the Statement that breakdown the book fee, could be RM200.

Are we entitle to claim as books rebate?

im still thinking if I shd use the Rm1,500 relief for parents.  Still thinking there is a reason behind this since IC no is needed.  Might kena revoke BR1M of my parents later.
*
As long we fulfil the condition should be fine, right? My parents also apply for BR1M, which haven't received yet this year. doh.gif

But both of them no income, and above 60, so I'm eligible for this....

It did not stated have to be stay together. My parents at hometown.

Anyone claim under F8, 'printed newspapers'?

I wonder how to provide the receipt?

Most of us bought it from roadside, market or even convenient shop which we not even ask for receipt.

My wife no working, and I have selected Jenis Taksiran 'DIRI SENDIRI DI MANA SUAMI/ISTERI TIADA PUNCA PENDAPATAN' for the past few years.

Today, I notice there is the option for 'Taksiran atas nama Suami'.

Question is, is my wife need to perform e-filling on this selection? or since I already select wife no income, she no need to do anything on LHDN e-filling

Thanks

taksiran bersama means, both of you already do the filing...  So, ur wife doesnt have to do efiling again..

And whether you do it under husband's name or under wife's name, the end amount is supposed to be the same.. The difference is only about who is going to take ownership/responsibility of the tax filing. That's all.
*
Thanks for the reply.

So the option 4 that I choose 'DIRI SENDIRI DI MANA SUAMI/ISTERI TIADA PUNCA PENDAPATAN' is correct that my wife no need to do the efilling again.

Trying to call the hotline to clarify, but the line is really HOT... no chance to speak.... doh.gif

Huh.. sweat.gif I thought she has been miss out for the past few years, even though is zero amount, just don't want to be an issue in future.

Thanks ya.

For those who donate to charity, have you all received the Official Receipt?

Should I wait for it or I can submit first. I understand there must be list in LHDN, where my case is to Yayasan Nanyang Press, which is in the list.

I use the online transfer, can it be a prove?

* Still not received the OR yet.... doh.gif

The reply is good.

Just most of the phone bill even postpaid, do not indicate how much is Internet portion.

Lot of package is RMxx, xGB Internet, unlimited call... no breakdown how much is Internet... the package all bundled up.

So can claim or not... still.....

(I mean phone data plan, if house Internet then no issues)

That's why I posted few weeks back that telco providers should exercise due diligence to generate annual statement like insurance providers for tax rebate claim purpose.
*
Yes, that's very true.

Telco have to provide us the clear information.

Anyway, i dare not put in as kind of grey area for me.

Can call them either.

Few years back, my refund is about RM16.

No letter, no email from LHDN, after few months only call them up, and they refund after my call.

for payment to income tax via BYRHASIL... how long does the payment reflect in eLejar?

i made payment @ 16 Mar, so far not reflected yet.
*
Not sure for payment, but just want to share that their e-ledger may not up-to-date, as for my refund case, money bank in already 18/3 and the e-ledger status still at 'disifatkan'.

For life insurance, my wife statement every year also a bit different. She is paying RM600 per year, but statement not showing RM600, sometimes more sometimes less.

So when declare, should follow the amount paid or statement amount?

Follow the annual statement provided by the insurance company.
Not 100% premium paid is claimable; some are meant for admin fee.
*
Sometimes it appear as RM900, but we all dare put same as statement.

We been argue about this.
My point is if being ask for supporting, i can show as statement.
But her point is, LHDN may wonder how come your life insurance claim every year different amount?

* this is pure group life insurance, not those combine with medical.

All these while is fine, as combine with EPF, now took out, so troublesome.

may I ask....how much is the variance ?...I meant the yearly possible variance???
not the variance between the actual premium paid and the life insurance policy statement, but
the variance of the yearly (YoY) variance between the amount as per stated in insurance policy statements.
*
Basically she paying RM600 per year.

Below is the history statement premium amount:
2015 RM500
2016 RM1050
2017 RM300
2018 RM900
2019 RM300

I have screenshot some past statement as attach.

thanks for sharing....
things is that.....why they combined the total as Medical/life premium?
how you gonna know and separate which amount is for which clause for tax relief claims?
as there is a medical insurance tax relief and another one under EPF/life insurance tax relief claims
hmm.gif
mind to share which insurance company is that?
*
Ha... is GE.

Anyone with GE having the same problem or is due to Group Insurance?
'GROUP MULTIPLE BENEFITS INSURANCE SCHEME/SKIM ASURANS BERKELOMPOK'

For this premium no medical, so still fine.

Just the statement like this, I really doh.gif

is she directly paying the premium to the insurance company or to her previous company?

my uneducated wild guess is...she cannot claim as the policy owner is the company....
if she needs to claim...the company will get the claims....
the company will be paying for the group insurance and get the receipt for tax purposes from the insurance company.

I maybe wrong, not sure how the company, insurance company and herself discussed/arranged those issues.
as mentioned...life/medical premium if lumpsum together....then how much is to claim for life and how is to claim for medical premium paid during tax filing?

what do real insurance sifus think?
*
She pay to the Insurance agent company.
She no longer working now. The only benefit continuing pay this premium is cheaper as a group.

Should be no problem to claim as is just like a group purchase, her name is there, and my name as beneficial also there.

She didn't buy medical insurance, so that is 100% life only.

I also not understanding much about all this insurance thingy.

Hmm, okay. Previously Insurans nyawa dan KWSP as lump sum, so KWSP alone already max.
*
People who don't have life insurance or small amount will not be happy. As indirectly reduce the KWSP limit.
