Yeah, all card applications will actually appear in CCRIS. So they would be able to see the record.

sorry i mean the annual fee waiver.
although they say it's 12 swipes in a year but i see early post said it's not done automatically.. still need to call?

They should have sent you an sms with a link after you applied, that link can check status. (Only for online applications)

Applied Visa Signature, and received SMS on approval. Got Visa Platinum instead when I collect the card. Facepalm...
Why didn't they just reject my application? The worst thing is the officer at counter helped me to activate already.

Apply through official HSBC website. I collect at HSBC branch Kuching, activated the card, then realize the card is wrong after I ask about the annual fee.

Missed a call from HSBC two days ago and today received email to my work email address to verify employment. Few hours later received SMS that application is approved Almost thought it is rejected as applied another Citi card on the same day.

For MPower card 8% Grocery CB although it state MCC 5411 5499 but the t&c does state the following
Giant, Tesco, Aeon Big, and Mydin.

So does it mean only these 4 entitled cb?
other grocery not entitlted even its MCC 5411

If I'm existing HSBC credit cardholder and want to apply another HSBC card. Can I apply online ?

I see there is a promotion for applying new card for existing customer (RM25 +RM75) but when i click into the promotion. It say it is for new customer (RM500 cash back/voucher).

Usually existing member applying new card wont entitle for any sign up rewards, SST waiver maybe possible.
