At first didn't top up when saw the link but later realised it was debit card and not credit card and top up around 12:17am and still got RM20

Follow up my application thru CS on last week saying my application still pending even though i check sms that my application is approved, idk whats wrong with their system its not in sync
Today received call from HSBC askin me to go KL main to collect card, i was like huh not courier to me?
Nevermind, walk in to branch, waited half an hour queue before counter.
Then another half an hour waiting in counter, taking ic and licence for thumbprint. (But i informed that my thumbprint is not clear with letter from jabatan pendaftaran negara)
Wait wait wait again, then guess what the staff said due to my thumbprint, i was not able to get my card today, need to send my application to risk department approve again. I was like wtf.
Waiting 1 hour to get this answer? I never been in my life aware that credit card collection need to get thumbprint. All credit card just send to my office without thumbprint or whatever process. HSBC is making my life hard. He said if approved i need to walk in collect again. Seriously their service is lousy af.

in the event thumb not able to read, they should instead do a manual thumb verification.
let you thumb on a paper as record if needed.

yeah i was so speechless and pissed off. . sigh..too slow la their working attitude, need ask manager and keep on waiting..
Credit card is not like debit card also, if saving account then i understand the need of thumbprint but still never in my life waiting for this long to get myself a cc.
For sure they have check my history before approving my cc ma. How come because my thumbprint issue didnt release to me..weirdly "strict" policy.
Then next time they call me to collect my card again I need to make myself free for 2 hours.

just cancel the card and get from another bank

My intention is to get the RM500 CB otherwise I would not even apply.

In fact I have already 5+1 issuing banks' credit card (MBB, CITI, UOB, HLB, SC and soon HSBC)

After getting HSBC, no more interested in getting other's local bank cc.

frankly speaking, hsbc cards is ntg interesting.
what interesting is the sign up offer sometimes amounting RM800.

meanwhile, don't miss out the party of local bank i.e pbb, affin, rhb.

Yes. I had to go branch to pick up also because i was never a customer. But i WFH and went to branch not too far from my house.

Some small plus point. They are offerring 0%BT although 3 months only. But this month is good la. Pre cny. Good to spread some BT 0% around. Hahaha

May I know what is the timeline like for approval and card ready for pick up after submitting the application?

Applied on ringgitplus. Got the call to pick up the card from branch, 13 days later. Went to branch the next day after receiving the call.

Anyone know how long does it take to hsbc to approve the application ? Applied last week still no news yet.

Mine almost 3 weeks got answer but till now also havent got my card.

I applied through the Ringgitplus website and received an email stating HSBC will contact me. Then a few hours later, Ringgitplus asked through Whatsapp is I have completed my application and sent a link to HSBC online application form.

The problem is, HSBC also have its own RM500 campaign. How to ensure that I enter the Ringgitplus RM600 TnG one?

as long you used ringgitplus to initiate, you will be entitled for ringgitplus's gift.

The link that RP gave, is to apply under the RM500 HSBC promo and for that Shopee or Lazada voucher, have to use in 1 go.
