yeah. managed to complete application. i guess the woking address and home address thing is CS dependent. he wasnt even surprised or demanding similar address thingy. my advice for others, if one CS does not want to proceed for u, can always try again.

Based on my own experience, it took around or less than 3 days to credit after my card was approved. I got the money credited even before I got the card.

The HSBC Visa Signature’s RM636 annual fee is waived for the first year? There is no mention of the first year waiver on the HSBC website...


And clause 17 in the TnC link above is gone. No more waiver for 12 swipes

Is the HSBC card required to call customer service to.waive annual fee? Or auto waiver when reach 12swipe annually?

The SMS will mention if I can remember correctly. Else just calculate yourself, it is exactly 60% of your approved limit.

Thanks for the info.

Anyway, I am still waiting for my app status. I called and they said it's in its final process. They said could be due to year end back log.

The bank staff called me on 3 weeks ago for verification and asked me to upload documents on the same day by giving me a link. I did on the next day.

Then no news until now.

I guess all I can do is wait. LOL.

Below is the sms that I received:

RM0.00 HSBC: We are delighted to advise you that your new HSBC credit card has been approved and will be sent to you in 10 days. For enquiries, call 1300881388. Thank you.

There will be another email for the cash installment. I received the money in my account before receiving the SMS.

So.... I am still waiting. It's been 18 working days.

They say it's still in progress and everything is in order so I don't owe them any documents. They too are surprised how come its taking unusually long. However, when I asked if its rejected, they said No. Just asked me to wait for sms and card will be sent to my home address (they double-confirmed my home address as well).

I am beginning to want to "forget it" :-p

Called them last week and called them Monday as well. I got "in progress", "in final stage of approval", "in final process" - these kind of answers lah. Tired of calling already.

Applied for Signature with 12 month installment promo.
