Yes, I submitted documentations on 24/11 and have yet to received any response.

I did call them on Monday 11/12 and they called me back yesterday 12/12 citing it's in the final process.

I guess they do take quite long for processing.

Hi All,

Just notice about this offer RM500 lazada voucher.

Wanna ask:
i) t&c: "Unique ID will be delivered post 60 days of welcome letter" means they only send out the RM500 voucher code after 60 days?
ii) if I straightaway spend 1k once the card approved, how long do I need to wait for the code?
iii) Does the 1K min spend at online(lazada) count? or only valid spending at retail only

Thanks all

1] after u activate and spend 1k within 60days, after u spent 1k, call CS inform them u met the requirement, ask them when will they email u the lazada voucher code, they will answer within 4 weeks

2] i waited for mine on the 4th week after i spent 1k

3] any spending as long as the amount is 1k

and after u enjoyed the benefit, pls dont cancel the card straight away, wait after 9 months then cancel, to avoid being "blacklisted" for future card application if you still want to get signup offer

Waa.. Nowadays HSBC have right to "blacklisted" customers?
But normally been "blacklisted", will it be whitelisted after 1 year?

I guess it won't permanent blacklisted, right?

better ask those who always apply to get signup gifts then cancel after received gifts, see if they got "blacklisted" end up unable to apply card...

i only cancel after 9months if the card totally useless and got af on 2nd year, else will keep for 1year or longer if no af or got benefits

I've cancelled and applied at least 5 times just to get sign up gifts. Around 4-9 months between each card. I always check the terms and conditions of what is "new to bank" customer for the promotion. For hsbc I think it's normally 3 or 6 months. No issue.

One officer should call you soon and mine was checked by this officer for system approval.
Once it is approved, then system will trigger me to upload documents.

If those card does not much benefit and not attractive at all, then rather permanent don't apply that card with selected bank service provider.
But normally keep "blacklisted" the customer and unable to apply card, end up bank also cannot achieve the sales target because no customers wanna to apply due to blacklisted.

However if you already get the first gifts during apply the application form, then end up bank reject your application due to your financial over tight (just take example for the reason). Then bank will consider blacklist you because you already take the first gifts during sign up the application form?

And then what about those customers already receive the card but cancellation within 3 months (Never get the signup gift and don't achieve the min spending amount), then bank will blacklisted for that?
I am referring signup gift is normally customers must swipe within min spending amount to get the gift.

This is because now "blacklist" has a lot of t&c.

Normally those oversea bank and those popular local bank might be very strict and choosy one.
However, this also depend the credit card salesperson will help you appeal or not to get the credit card.
