Normally gifts will come separately. That's my experience with other banks.

Not sure about HSBC. Still waiting for my status. bangwall.gif

highly likely you need to refer to the T&C, usually free gifts / cash rebate will come after some weeks later.

Currently HSBC point redemption got promotion for few items, e.g., LAZADA RM100 voucher only needs 30000 points now (was 43000). Equivalent to ~2.67%CB, not a bad deal

Edit: apparently this is due to 30% of for VS card

just got my HSBC card and CL is surprisingly high

Just wondering those apply online apart from spending RM1000 to get Lazada voucher still eligible for the 100k points?

Also VS annual fee can waive? Swipe once per month is annoying probably not going to do that. If not fulfilled this condition later call CS easy to waive?

I submitted around same time, 5-8 December. I called in, only found out was "processing". I asked the CS, whether any follow up. Everything good? They say okay, if not someone will call.

Keep bugging them, why taking so long. Today morning, I got an email say application decline.

For more info, call the CS hotline.

I called CS hotline, they say can't help although email said so, and will inform for relevant people to call back. I said, what if no one call, they give me a number to call.

I find it fishy, immediately go call that number. Marketing department say can't help me, unless I remember who initially served me. I said why would I want to remember that?

I guess good riddance. This is for Visa Signature, I'm not sure what will happen after signing up or other tiers. Maybe I'm just unlucky...

Last time I also received decline at first and later CS called me apparently the reason is due to "call my office no one answer" rclxub.gif

And then she helped me appeal and finally got accepted, but took really long. I remember I applied early Nov and only got my card recently

Besides the date of HSBC is really weird. I received approval SMS about 2 weeks ago however my CCRIS somehow showed approved my HSBC end of Nov rclxub.gif

I think my case should be similar.... but i did mention to the first person who engaged me. I said my company is strict in all these kind of things, they won't entertain. If anything clarify with me before you decide to decline or anything.

I'm more worried CCRIS, CTOS affected my credit rating over stupid HSBC procedures. Till now, I didn't get a callback.

Like I said, either I'm unlucky, or it shows me eventual bad service from HSBC.

I called them many times, they asked me to just wait as they are "processing". They are trying to contact my office for verification. I asked if there have issues, I can point them to the person in charge directly. They said no, no issue. If got issue, they will let me know. I asked the person to escalate, she said she can only do it next week as person in charge is on leave.

Anyway, I told her that HSBC has won the "longest processing time" award for cc application.

I think it's bad for us because in CCRIS, it will show "pending" for a particular credit limit amount, and if this limit is high, it will affect any other loan application that you may have at this point of time.

Imagine you have a RM xx k limit "pending approval" in CCRIS, I think other banks considering your loan will take this into consideration in your approval or amount approved.

Hmmm, the only reason now I'm still pursuing and waste my time talking to HSBC people.
