the only good thing for this go called Live+ is
existing card holder can get RM150 acquisition cb.

deduct RM25 SST, still net cb RM125 provided you fulfilled the spending criteria

Note:
(a) “any channels” excludes application of HSBC Live+ Credit Card through HSBC Malaysia’s website.

Means apply from HSBC Malaysia website will not get this RM150?

I didn't get any feedback for my AF, so I made a call to them to check on the status again. My AF waiver was not granted, but I didn't get any feedback despite the fact that they already got the notification on the 13th itself. doh.gif I wasted my time waiting. She asked me to pay for the outstanding AF+SST of RM 625; I insisted I wouldn't pay because if I didn't spend anything and only these charges were charged, I wanted to cancel the card. So, she said she would put in a request and need to wait for 3-5 working days again.

Anyway, one of the verification questions from the CS asked me to tell her my online banking username. sweat.gif I thought banks had been promoting the practice of not sharing our username or password with anyone, yet HSBC sets this as one of the questions. I insisted she change another question because I wouldn't answer it. laugh.gif She proceeded with another question. I'm surprised that HSBC is asking this.

Similar to you, recently got charged SST with no usage after SST but after calling she agreed waiver with 3x any amount spent. Was told no AF since I met their terms. To my horror even before I started spending I saw AF charged. Called in again and was told I didn't meet their "criteria".

So I wanted to cancel but somehow can only proceed after paying SST + AF and I did. Few days later got call and told will get AF + SST reimbursement if I retain card.

In a dilemma since getting back especially that AF is a lot and accepted an upgraded card offer to replace my existing cards.

Thinking whether wanna stay with them after this and risk facing the same issue again next year

I'm already prepared to call them every year if they retain me.

Let's see but I told them I will travel next week onward for 9 days so I won't be available to pick up any calls. I will not pay them as well. Yes, this will get 1 on my CCRIS but better than paying for nothing.

Which card is this?

Annual Fee for HSBC Amanah MPower Platinum card is RM240. However,
annual fee can be waived if you perform at least 12 transactions per year.

Min 2k to get max cb, not as condition for AF waiver, right?
Where to look for this?

in order to entitle for the cashback remember don't apply from HSBC malaysia website. what a weird clause. First time seeing apply from official website doesn't entitle for reward.

2k annual spend as condition for AF waiver apart from min 1x swipe per month, but I don't know where to look for this criteria. Apparently that's what 3 out of 4 SC that talked to me mentioned this because I did 12 swipes but did not fulfil the min 2k spend.

Mine was Visa Plat I think but apparently applies to all HSBC including MPower according to the SC.
