My HSBC cards are not actively used, and I only have VS all these years, but I added T1 last year. So, my VS has just been charged with AF and SST. I have had the card for 7 years but have been getting SST cash back and an AF waiver. I get an auto AF waiver for some years, but some years, I don't, and I have to call them, but it is still being approved. I don't get it this year, so it is pending their approval/rejection. I will know within 3-5 working days. As for SST cash back, it has been granted with any 3x spending within 60 days. Anyway, if there is no AF waiver, I will proceed to cancel it.
I didn't get any feedback for my AF, so I made a call to them to check on the status again. My AF waiver was not granted, but I didn't get any feedback despite the fact that they already got the notification on the 13th itself.

I wasted my time waiting. She asked me to pay for the outstanding AF+SST of RM 625; I insisted I wouldn't pay because if I didn't spend anything and only these charges were charged, I wanted to cancel the card. So, she said she would put in a request and need to wait for 3-5 working days again.
Anyway, one of the verification questions from the CS asked me to tell her my online banking username.

I thought banks had been promoting the practice of not sharing our username or password with anyone, yet HSBC sets this as one of the questions. I insisted she change another question because I wouldn't answer it.

She proceeded with another question. I'm surprised that HSBC is asking this.
