What is the most strategic way to fully ultilise the HSBC Platinium card? in terms of max amount spent per category according to the bonus points cap

When you apply HSCB CC through Ringgitplus and when got approve? I submitted documents to them 11 days ago but no news after that.
*
HSBC took 2 weeks to contact me via phone call after submitting on Ringgitplus Whatsapp. Be patient, they're just slow as usual

hsbc staff said first time must collcet from the branch.

I was also told to collect from branch as a new-to-bank customer (even selected my preferred branch during the application phone call), but in the end they also deliver to my house straight

Question: Reward points are awarded (and calendar month capping mechanism) based on transaction date or posting date?

would it be possible to convert existing HSBC CC to another?

Currently have a HSBC Plat card, thinking of converting to Signature card esp after the benefit bump and lounge access

this is very similar to Visa Signature
*
Similarities between Visa Signature and TravelOne MC:
- 8x points for foreign spending (online and retail)
- 6x Plaza Premium entry per calendar year
-

Differences between VS and TO:
- Income requirement: VS-RM72k; TO-RM60k
- Annual fee waiver condition: VS-12x swipe per calendar year and RM2k annual spending; TO-RM20k annual spending
- 5x points: VS-Eligible Retail MCCs and Online; TO-Dining and Local Travel (airlines, hotel, travel agency)
- Additional points capping: VS-max 15k additional points for all categories; TO- max 20k for foreign spending, max 10k each for dining and local travel
- Points redemption options: VS-vouchers and goods; TO-miles and hotel points

remains to be seen which is the better card, will depend on TO points redemption rate

I'm thinking of canceling my Platinum card, just to reapply for another HSBC card 6 months later with Ringgitplus signup offer

but before officially cancelling, is there any ways of getting any retention cashback offer from HSBC?

update on this:

initiated card cancellation via HSBC app live chat, and asked for retention offer. But CS ignored that request and just proceeded to suspend the card while also saying a HSBC CS officer will call me the next few days to confirm my decision

HSBC CS officer called the next day and offered 2 retention offer: either cash advance or balance transfer at lower %. I just straight up rejected this offer and proceeded to confirm my cancellation

If I am not mistaken HSBC Singapore just launched this card. Maybe it will be launched in MY too?

HSBC is due to announce changes to the Advance Visa Plat card (diff from the existing silver Visa Plat card) tomorrow, not sure if this card will also be rebranded or it will be a brand new card coming soon

https://ringgitplus.com/en/blog/credit-card...redit-card.html

Looking at previous record with Travel One card, it is a possibility that it will be announced for MY too

HSBC Launches Live+ Credit Card With Up To 8% Cashback On Dining, Shopping, & Entertainment Spending

// 8% cashback is a promotional offer – the card offers a 5% cashback rate with a bonus 3% on the three cashback categories until 31 December 2024. From 1 January 2025, the 3% bonus rate will no longer be available – though it will be subject to possible extension. //

seems similar like the Amanah MPower Plat, but the Amanah card having a lower spend threshold and lower cashback cap
