QUOTE(sjz @ May 17 2023, 12:26 PM) Those you mention are premium credit card. And usually premium credit cards come with some special perks that entry credit card do not have. Eg like concierge service, airport lounge entry, dedicated cc call line, etc. Of course with the perks, some of the card charge you annual fee. It is like just want to watch some news and local tv channel, you go for free service like TV3, TV2, TV1. But if would like to watch latest movie or drama, you subscribe Astro, Netflix, Disney+. Kind of example. |

QUOTE(sjz @ May 17 2023, 04:01 PM) yes. i know these branding and i hav them. It is a tier. Anyway, perhaps not all getting to enjoy all of the privileges provided by his or her premium cc. But that doesnt mean “no real life benefits”. Example like someone who fly frequently, i mean real frequent. So if he or she own an unlimited worldwide airport lounge entry, then he or she can have a good rest, nice shower, and some meals before the flight. This is kind of example “real life benefits”. but i don't see any real life benefits solely depending on the branding VI VS or world MC alone. seeing at now some bank is offering VI at 60k annual salary so i think we should focus on card features instead, eg. how many cb % or airmiles it bring, or airport lounge visit, rather than the branding VI VS or world MC. if a visa classic can easily offer RM100 cb per month, why not get it A good cc doent have to only have cashback, some perk is much better than cashback. And i am sure these perks, a classic card dont have. And yup, dedicated call line for customer service. This one real good, you dont have to wait and listen to the music for so long before someone attend to your call😅. Especially you are in urgent matter. Cheers. QUOTE(sjz @ May 17 2023, 04:01 PM) yes. i know these branding and i hav them. Diff tier cards comes with diff benefits, and services as well.but i don't see any real life benefits solely depending on the branding VI VS or world MC alone. seeing at now some bank is offering VI at 60k annual salary so i think we should focus on card features instead, eg. how many cb % or airmiles it bring, or airport lounge visit, rather than the branding VI VS or world MC. if a visa classic can easily offer RM100 cb per month, why not get it For example, VS vs Premier Travel, when most VS cardholder complaints about long waiting time to talk to cs, to talk to premier travel card cs will never takes you more than 1 min (personal experience) Most premier card comes with travel perks like best airmiles conversion to redeem flight ticket. The value i get from flight ticket redemption, is far better than cash back. This post has been edited by francis226: May 17 2023, 05:42 PM sjz liked this post
