It's the same for me. The steering rattle but if I put my hand there, the rattle stop.
That means steering rattle is not mounting problem??

This problem you need to take the meter apart, see links below, may or may not solve the problem. (I have a compilation of these but cannot be attached, probably due to its size 11MB)

You can try change the mounting first if it is already very old since this is the most likely culprit. I think around Rm200-300.

A lot of labour involved?
WIll it be easier to do that together with timing belt change?

From what I understand, there are 4 mounting brackets (plus one torque/stabilizer arm); only one mounting is at the timing belt location, so there is a small savings.

my 2007 proton lmst started to show some overheat issue.

It is observed recently after service, changed the distributor seal and the top seal (the one covers the valve heads ?) and some adjustment on the timing. Not sure if any of this related.

Aircond performance seems drop during hot noon hours. Bring to workshop to check air cond, pressure is enough and no other problem and coz the system working well. They say maybe recently hot weather, then i ok lo.

i found out that during hot noon hours, if i stuck at traffic jam with with aircond fan and turn to max, the air does not get cold, After a few stop and goes (rev up and release clutch few times), for few minutes, the water temperature bar will rise to 4 bar. When this happens, i tried to rev as low as i could to get the car moving and it cools down to 3 bar once i manage to hit a long straight, and aircond starts to cool.

Now i m suspecting the car slightly over heat causing the air cond to perform bad also, since the condensers are nearby and releasing heat. Car cooling system is ok also, fan will turn when reaching certain temp, coolant is enough.

And advice? think i should target and service the cooling system? like flush? i am kinda sure the rising to 4 bar is not normal lol.

add extra ground cable at the back of your meter, Temperature gauge will be back to normal. Lmst had this problem, is normal. Unless your both radiator and air cond fan not working.

Guys, normally how much would it cost to change all 4 pcs of our engine mounting?
I asked around and they said better use original Mitsubishi parts for longer and reliable performance.
So how much is it include labor cost? I manage to find 1 site that sell all 4 for rm360 (parts only). Is it normal price @ overpriced?

Mine is LMST 2006 edition BTW. biggrin.gif

Price less than RM200 for 4 pieces.

I am using this brand.

Labor maybe around RM80-100 depending on location

Is the Iswara petrol cap suppose to be able to close in air-tight condition?
Because sometimes I check the tyre and is near the gas cap, I can smell a bit of petrol.

And also, for closing the lid, should we close it as tight as we can twist the cap?

The page from Haynes is attached. (It is for UK version of the Iswara, not sure if it is same as ours).

From my experience, the cap is quite air-tight, unless the seal is worn or damaged. This is because when I open it, there is pressure released.

I also smell petrol in the same area, but when I open the fuel lid, there is no smell there.

For the LMST, during closing/tightening, it will reach a stage where the clicks start; it indicates slippage meaning the cap is tight. The Iswara cap does not have this feature; there is no thread to tighten and only depends on the pressure of the rubber.
