Hi Guys,

Been missing from here for sometime now...

Got a question that needs clarification for my Saga 12V MegaValve 4G15.

The Original Brake Servo has finally decided to give up... (still working but need to press twice to brake) so I am planning to do a double layer servo upgrade... I understand that there are a lot of servos that can be used in the Saga, such as vr4, sm4, perdana, pajero, nissan.

Questions are...

1. which one is better?

2. any modifications required or will it be a perfect fit?

3. can Evo 1,2,3 servo fit the saga?

Thanks for the assist guys smile.gif

Basically are is good.

When u go to half cut shop, said u want to use it on your iswara. They will have some option for u to choose.

Is plug and play.

I am using Nissan double layer.

If u still want to use back original servo, i still have it at my home tongue.gif

Evo servo can fit into iswara

I had this water overflow problem too. It was caused by the outlet tube clogged.

I connect a garden hose to the outlet tube and supplied water (reverse flow) for a short time, then dis-connect and let the water flow out.

Did this a couple of times, after that no more overflow.
*
which outlet tube?

Left side of car, attached to firewall, about 5 inches long, pointing down (if I am not mistaken, as in attached photo).

One more thing : before doing the reverse water flow, I tried poking the inside the tube with a wire to clear the dust ball...

Ohh thx.

But i will send to aircond shop. Dunno to do. Some more my car haven't service air cond b4 since got the car in 2003. laugh.gif

Thanks for the info. BTW, the cooling coil is not serviceable?

Serviceable if condition still good

Like mine is bad, after consult with few friends, suggest to change

Coz it may have small leakage after cleaning with chemical.

So better change it.

Not sure if I understand correctly, is it that :

- the crank pulley comes in 2 pieces and bonded by that inner rubber (example in pics below),

- in your case the rubber has deteriorated, so the outer and inner parts are 'separated' so v-belts are all not driven by the crankshaft,

- this pulley is original factory fitted?
*
that is correct. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Yup original factory fitted.

Thanks for the info - it is new to me. I did not know that Proton uses this kind of pulleys.

Now to find out more about this - is the rubber lining some kind of protection device, or maybe part of a harmonic balancer/damper .....
*
Is a rubber damper.

If u buy those aftermarket lighten crank, most of them don't have damper except for mythology.

Today the mechanic shop inform me a few things:

1. Distributor in the engine is leaking oil. It does not impact other engine component. Hence, not planning on repairing it.

2. Power sterling pump is leaking and it is impacting the alternator. In long run, it will still cause the alternator to fail. It is recommended to fix it. True?

3. Air con compressor confirm faulty. I prefer to replace it. How much it is gonna cost? Last time i learnt it is RM900.  shakehead.gif  shakehead.gif  shakehead.gif
*
Distributor u can consider change only when u have difficulties to start when stall.

Mine was leak till inside, so replace O ring also no use.

Changed mine around RM390

As in having difficulty in starting when start the engine? My car sometime start the engine, but very weak and tend to turn off itself at first attempt. The 2nd attempt only can stable.
*
Yes.

If very freq, better get it change.

Me when driving, suddenly will stall. Then need to take long time- bout 5 minutes to get it start.

If u buy, dont take those taiwan or recon unit - wont last long but is cheap around RM1xx

It is an old car. Nothing much to say.

Anyway, when you mean stall, what u mean by stall? When driving halfway then engine turn off by itself?
*
Yup
Halfway, engine off.

Then very hard crank to get it start.
