Been missing from here for sometime now...

Got a question that needs clarification for my Saga 12V MegaValve 4G15.

The Original Brake Servo has finally decided to give up... (still working but need to press twice to brake) so I am planning to do a double layer servo upgrade... I understand that there are a lot of servos that can be used in the Saga, such as vr4, sm4, perdana, pajero, nissan.

Questions are...

1. which one is better?

2. any modifications required or will it be a perfect fit?

3. can Evo 1,2,3 servo fit the saga?

when engine is idle, accelerate and aircond is ON the aircond belt emitted scratching sound. Izzit problem from bearing pulley ?

I had this water overflow problem too. It was caused by the outlet tube clogged.

I connect a garden hose to the outlet tube and supplied water (reverse flow) for a short time, then dis-connect and let the water flow out.

Did this a couple of times, after that no more overflow.

Left side of car, attached to firewall, about 5 inches long, pointing down (if I am not mistaken, as in attached photo).

One more thing : before doing the reverse water flow, I tried poking the inside the tube with a wire to clear the dust ball...

What items were serviced or replaced, and the costs? I need to make time  do mine too.

Can use both for manual transmission oil? If yes, which one is better?

Today i bought Castrol magnetic 10w40 for my iswara at tesco for only Rm75
Is that ok?

You have power steering ???

Cause mine didn't have one

Not sure if I understand correctly, is it that :

- the crank pulley comes in 2 pieces and bonded by that inner rubber (example in pics below),

- in your case the rubber has deteriorated, so the outer and inner parts are 'separated' so v-belts are all not driven by the crankshaft,

- this pulley is original factory fitted?

Thanks for the info - it is new to me. I did not know that Proton uses this kind of pulleys.

Now to find out more about this - is the rubber lining some kind of protection device, or maybe part of a harmonic balancer/damper .....

Guys, anyone know the price for Iswara engine top overhaul? Mine was quoted RM400 for engine top overhaul and checking, haven't include parts cause duno what might be broken inside.

Today the mechanic shop inform me a few things:

1. Distributor in the engine is leaking oil. It does not impact other engine component. Hence, not planning on repairing it.

2. Power sterling pump is leaking and it is impacting the alternator. In long run, it will still cause the alternator to fail. It is recommended to fix it. True?

3. Air con compressor confirm faulty. I prefer to replace it. How much it is gonna cost? Last time i learnt it is RM900.     

As in having difficulty in starting when start the engine? My car sometime start the engine, but very weak and tend to turn off itself at first attempt. The 2nd attempt only can stable.

Wallet hurts.......

What is the primary causes for all these leakages? Rough driving by previous owners?

It is an old car. Nothing much to say.

Anyway, when you mean stall, what u mean by stall? When driving halfway then engine turn off by itself?
