True as well lah... Haha....

btw, my friend told me that this Preve's doors (included passenger's side) can be opened by 2 times of the handle even the all doors have been locked previously. Is it true? sounds like dangerous if fetching children at the back...

Yes and the only way to avoid it - child lock. doh.gif

Yes you can. Pull the door lever twice and you can unlock the car even if the central lock is turn on. Well, that's the purpose of the child lock.

There is a reason why most modern cars has their rear door handles positioned at a very far edge of the door, away from the seats. Children are suppose to be seated at the back, with safety belt buckled up. When buckled up, it is impossible for the children hands to reach the door handle in the first place.

Hi guys
Im gonna get my Preve soon (fingers crossed)
Wanna ask, the brake judder aka helicopter sound,
Will it be loud and make the whole car vibrate when I brake? Or how is the brake judder like?
Sorry if me ask noob question as I believe this has been asked countless times in this group.
*
not so loud but noticeable.. just go claims the warranty, get new disc brake if u still heard until 1000km service.. that's easy.. some are not affected maybe new car, store in open warehouse a while only then sold to you.. some store for few months.

Check below the handle (driver side), under the key symbol. There's a latch for you to insert the key and dislodge the cover to reveal the lock.
*
Tried to insert the key this morning. The hole is too small and I don't dare to push the key too hard into the hole. May ruin the paint if that is not the right way to insert.

Please advise on how to dislodge the cover.

May be a photo to show?

Thanks.

For me it is about 9 months down the road~~
so far only minor problems noted and solved~~

for example brake switch issue (result in engine warning light) and the passenger door problem (does not close as easier as the other 3 doors)....

SC replaced the brake switch and adjusted the door for me~~so problem does not repeat~~

after 9 months...i have to say....the car is solid, spacious, fun to drive and comfortable~~no complains except for the R3 bodykit sad.gif

Been driving the car for 2 years, so far so good. Driver seat has been replaced last year due to furry issue, front disc brake replaced during my 30k service too. Looks like I need to make another appointment soon as the helicopter sound is back again after I did my tyres allignment during the 40k service. Overall for 72k, this car is worth every bucks paid.

My 2 cents here after 3 weeks with my Preve.

Happy with power, stability, spacious interior and some of the features I did not have in my old Wira (GPS, ABS, EBS etc).

Main complaints from me are the high FC (at about 12 L/100km average due to my low speed (average 20 kph) and frequent stops at traffic lights and T junctions) and the engine noise at times.

If I could turn back time, will I still buy the same Preve? YES!

Cheerio.

P/S Get Preve Premium, more fun with that car.

My SA tested my car and he said that it have the brake judder problem but I never heard it, prolly due to I'm driving slow. So, maybe it depends on your speed and the seriousness of the issue.

Well, I'm at PJ Sect 13 SC for my 1000km service. The Front Desk lady recommend me to topup extra to use Syn 800 instead of the Mineral Oil for RM56. Service so far so good.

Got an update from a staff here. Syn800 can be use till 10k km if you use the car for daily ride. If you have done a lot of Long Distance Driving, it's advisable to change at 5k km.

Thanks for the warning! Ha.

If I have to "damage" the paint to use the door key, then I think that is a design flaw. I know it is possible to open from the back but one will have a tough time crawling from the back to the front!

Hahaha. I used the checklist at the front page and it require me to check the front lock. Then I asked my SA to dislodge the cover, he said he don't want to do it. He scared it will calar then I blame him. Haha.

Either way, dislodging the cover should be last option IMO. But I doubt you can crawl from bonnet thru the rear set as you need to press a button on rear seat to fold it first.

hmm.. probably u running slow then u cant press the brake hardly.. at least 60km/h and press brake probably u will notice it.. since ur SA notice it ady, ask him to replace a new set of disc brake will solved the problem.. FOC.

syn800 consider good d.. they are ok for 10000km to change EO, but if can try to change after 1000+5000km.. since it's new car.. afterwards may consider to use fully syn EO or use again semi syn 800 until 10000km, then use syn 1000/3000 onwards
