QUOTE(SportyHandling @ Jul 13 2014, 05:03 AM) Don't know whether it's normal to others though I have encountered this several times before. You can literally feel something that is moving in the seat when your back is leaning on the seat, and when you rub your back on the seat there will be this "ngek ngek" or "erk erk" sound that you call it. First complaint and the guys at the service centre managed to get rid of this sound by adjusting something, but the sound came back the next day. After 2nd complaint they changed the seat to a brand new one. However, after about 2-3 months with the new seat, it is back to square one. The sound came back again, though it is not as serious as the "defective" older seat. The feeling of something moving in the seat is not as annoying, and the "ngek ngek" sound is not as loud. Still the sound is there. My leather seat of Preve LE doesn't have this often, or it is being everyone's back being different. I only felt it once, adjusted myself on the seat and I didn't feel it again. It did have a "feeling" like kruk kruk. HahaI have come to accept the low quality of the fabric seat in this Preve Turbo, other than the loud engine/CVT sound during accceleration. |

QUOTE(nelsonmui87 @ Jul 14 2014, 10:28 AM) I found many reverse camera power is supplied by reverse light. Just insert wire into existing socketSo once reverse light on, it will trigger the reverse camera to works. It's the easiest way I know, so if do like that I think at least need some wire cutting in reverse light. Dear all, Please advise if there's any others method could work to supply reverse camera power. Thank you. |

QUOTE(plumberly @ Jul 26 2014, 05:41 PM) You mean you got the helicopter noise 2 months later and still not fixed yet as you are too lazy to do it? Ha. I have RM0 discount. RM20 petrol, an umbrella, steering lock style Kiki, unwanted useless tinting voucherOn vibration problem, what can they do to fix that? I hope it is not a major job. In Sarawak, we get very little salesman discount. Only RM500 for me. Like to know what gifts can one get from car purchases? Free 1 tank petrol, umbrella, vouchers. What else? Thanks. |

QUOTE(ChuanHong @ Jul 25 2014, 10:36 PM) My Fc. I just pump rm80 she'll into my car right after I received my car. And just drop to 2 bars just now. Check sid it show still got 176km to go. For me this turbo Fc is good. Why people say not good. It really depends on driver. Your engine is still new, that's why FC still not good enough. My city driving average fuel consumption meter doesn't go above 8L/100KM. It is in the region of 7L/100KM.Currently driving highway and penang bridge. But most of time heavy jam for these 3 days. Between I do driving city only. Wait coming Aug I will full driving highway to work only. Without any jam. Possible 2 to 3 traffic light stop only. I believe my preve turbo can achieve below 8/100km. QUOTE(kulatkia @ Jul 25 2014, 11:44 PM) Thx. I think I better get it change after 5k since most of the sifu here just give a same advice ... One more thing did anyone of you notice when u place you gear at P or N the rpm is even clock higher compared to D mode while car not moving. That mean I will b save bit fuel at mode D at traffic lights. Am I right? Thx again Don't be silly. Fuel consumption is not just based on RPM but also on load. When gear engaged, there's additional load to engine which the injectors have to fuel more to the engine. Otherwise the engine would have just stalled.Same theory, if load is 0 at 2000 RPM (example), it uses no fuel. This situation is when we are coasting. |

QUOTE(kulatkia @ Jul 30 2014, 12:40 AM) Thx.. You sound pro n I shouldn't just refer to RPM only instead... Having to say after getting feedback from you guy regardless N, P or D is just the same... Not much fuel saved but D mode is much better to our gear box sound like... Thx again Sifus Actually fuel consumption will be higher at D. Clutch wear rate also higher with excessive D mode use. |

You will have to judge how long you're going to be idling in traffic light. If it's long, put to N. Both has their own wear.
I can't say for sure, but I always put to N. Otherwise I cannot get the fuel economy I'm currently having. |

QUOTE(predicate undefined @ Aug 9 2014, 12:01 PM) I'm about to buy PREVE CFE here are some question lingering in my head - No need to install voltage stabilizer. The car works fine out of the box-do it need third party voltage stabilizer for better performance and does it void warranty -how about compare to Jazz S spec with lots of accessories and features taken out -does the audio sound quality acceptable? -is black ok, why less people buying black color -if i change front grill does it void warranty - what will really void the warranty anyway -it uses turbo, willl it cause problem in the long run? what about at constant high rev, is it stable enough -is it worth the money or any other option should I consider considering the same amount of money please advise. tired scrolling of 21version of the forum - Audio quality acceptable - Colour is preference. Any colour is OK as long as you like it. - If you drive the car as stock, you can be quite certain it is reliable. You can drive it at max 5500 RPM without overheating |

QUOTE(sanadi @ Aug 9 2014, 03:36 PM) re: overheating. I've driven Corona 2.0, Accord 2.0, Accord iVTEC 2.0 and now Preve. All cars will eventually have some overheating "moments". I my case all was at low speed & jam. Caused by failed or failing radiator fan. Never encountered overheating yet in the Preve, but with only 1 fan (compared to 2 radiator fans in Japs) I fear any overheating would be sudden and not leave you with much time to react. When fan fails, even my Persona with 2 fans, as long as one fan fails, temperature will rocket high. |

QUOTE(plumberly @ Aug 15 2014, 07:46 PM) Noted something strange when I went to JPJ to sort out the road tax & pink card for my old car. I took my foot off the pedal, the instant FC read 0 L/100KM. There is no fuel injected when car is coasting. All efi car does this to save fuel. So it is really 0 for instant fcHow can it be 0 L even though I took my foot off the pedal as there is some fuel going to the engine? Based on the above observation, I don't think they are using a flowmeter to measure the petrol going to the engine but using the pedal position to estimate. How accurate is this FC then? Has anyone cross checked this FC reading? I will do it over 5 petrol topping up. KM traveled and petrol added to the tank. Reading the manual and found some surprises in there and also some questions for the sifus here to help. Will do that this weekend. Cheerio. |

QUOTE(plumberly @ Aug 15 2014, 09:06 PM) Strange, I can swear that the engine was still running when I took my foot off the pedal. Engine still turns but no fuel is needed to keep the engine running as the transmission is transferring energy from rolling wheel to engineMaybe the engine was running on battery? Don't think so. Will find out more to improve my driving and FC. Ha. |

QUOTE(colboynick @ Aug 17 2014, 01:26 PM) Got my Car yesterday! It's engine braking. On most automatic transmission cars now, if throttle input is 0, then a lower gear will be used to resist acceleration going down hill.![]() Helicopter sound as usual.. **** But i need to clarify one thing, Im facing reverse difficulties as in when i try to reverse, it seems like you really have to press down the paddle quite a lot before the car start reversing. I must say its actually not steep at all! Is this normal or i should bring this up to SC? *** Im in D mode, going down the hill, my RPM went up and dragg my car. I have to brake the car halfway and all the way down the hill?? I dont think putting N mode downhill is a good idea. @.@" *** Thanks Sifus in advance! |
