Don't know whether it's normal to others though I have encountered this several times before. You can literally feel something that is moving in the seat when your back is leaning on the seat, and when you rub your back on the seat there will be this "ngek ngek" or "erk erk" sound that you call it. First complaint and the guys at the service centre managed to get rid of this sound by adjusting something, but the sound came back the next day. After 2nd complaint they changed the seat to a brand new one. However, after about 2-3 months with the new seat, it is back to square one. The sound came back again, though it is not as serious as the "defective" older seat. The feeling of something moving in the seat is not as annoying, and the "ngek ngek" sound is not as loud. Still the sound is there.

I have come to accept the low quality of the fabric seat in this Preve Turbo, other than the loud engine/CVT sound during accceleration.
*
Thx. Sound like I have one more defective part have to accepted as normal.... No choice

Try using some IPA on the plastics. If that doesn't work, plastic trim polish like the Meguiar's Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer may help.
*
Thx.. Will try get some IPA n try then.... thumbup.gif

Had that once - its due to the aircond vent above the push start button...
Change it and until today its good.
*
Thx... How long it been changed. Does it come back again? Btw how long it took for the part claimed/delivered or they have the stock ready? U might not know I'm starting fobia to visit SC since around once a month I meet them... Not every month have new problem but the minor unsolvable problem. Eg.. First round complain alignment out, the fellow try to fix but after went back same issue... Oki feedback after verified a week time n this round they fix again but gonna charge me as metre clock more than 1k... rclxub.gif second time after fixed... Haha very surprisingly problem even getting worst... From the minor out to the left now become right n steering a bit slanting during hold for straight.... God my... doh.gif

great sharing bro.... i did read similar content online article before(can't recalled the link) and 5K engine oil change for non-mineral(syn oil) is kind of waste and also that article claimed 5K is just nice for engine oil starting serve better to our engine.... who right who confuse and who misleading... in fact i'm bit lost rclxub.gif

My SC says syn 800 service every 5k KM
and for my preve, 5k KM the car performance already low, engine choking up, and can observe the oil very thick and dirty.

anyway, save money or save the engine, its your call.
*
Thx. I think I better get it change after 5k since most of the sifu here just give a same advice ... One more thing did anyone of you notice when u place you gear at P or N the rpm is even clock higher compared to D mode while car not moving. That mean I will b save bit fuel at mode D at traffic lights. Am I right? Thx again

yes, sure higher RPM for N
and peoples also recommend stick to D if you waiting for short time such as at traffic light, as frequent change from N or P to D wear out the gear box.

Thx again Bro...

Don't be silly. Fuel consumption is not just based on RPM but also on load. When gear engaged, there's additional load to engine which the injectors have to fuel more to the engine. Otherwise the engine would have just stalled.

Same theory, if load is 0 at 2000 RPM (example), it uses no fuel. This situation is when we are coasting.
*
Thx.. You sound pro n I shouldn't just refer to RPM only instead... Having to say after getting feedback from you guy regardless N, P or D is just the same... Not much fuel saved but D mode is much better to our gear box sound like... Thx again Sifus notworthy.gif

I thought my mind was playing tricks on me when I compared Shell & Petronas petrol. Petronas petrol gave about 10% more mileage than Shell.

With your comparison, maybe there is some truth in what I saw before.
*
Serious? Petronas give more mileage? I'm using Caltex 95 since day one n only able clocked the best milage around 50km per bar with very very light foot... At city drive 80%

Since day one collecting my new toy... SA advise me not to choice Petron n Petronas as both sound dirty.... So I just give n take this advice tongue.gif

Actually fuel consumption will be higher at D. Clutch wear rate also higher with excessive D mode use.
*
Oh my.. Thx but I bit confuse now with the early advice quoted by LoanDoctor where frequent change N or P to D will wear n tear more on gear box... So am I misunderstanding any here...? D or N better for gear box while waiting traffic light?
