hi guys, during my 1K service, SC used Syn 800
now for the 5k service, should i stick to syn 800? or any other better option i should choose? thanks
*
I'm personally using synthium 3000. If u can afford I would suggest u to go for it. My 10K service SC used syn800 and during 20K service I insisted on using syn 3000, can actually feel the difference in daily driving.

Anybody here has RaceChip on their car? Thinking of getting one as they're having a RM400 rebate for raya. Read mixed reviews on prevec forum.

prevec forum? and btw you will void your warranty blink.gif

Yeah about 25 pages, read it yday but the last 10 pages was purely one forumer bashing another one. It's 100% plug & play so not an issue with the warranty anyway.

Where did u get the offer?
*
Offer is by racechip malaysia, any of their dealer should be giving the same rebate.

mind to share the price and briefly explain whats the use of it? sorry noob here blush.gif

Price by drex from EA in bukit jalil is 1399 after the 400 rebate.

Quoted from Drex : RaceChip is a plug & play digital tuning device mainly developed for factory (original equipment) turbo petrol and turbo diesel engines.

By mathematically manipulating the boost sensor signal, immediate effect is higher boost level is enabled. This is done by delaying the activation of factory electronic boost controller which by-passes the exhaust gas via the wastegate.

Each mapping is tailored tuned for each specific engine model on different platform. We highly recommend to also combine higher boost with higher fuel flow and stronger wastegate spring.

Been driving the car for 2 years, so far so good. Driver seat has been replaced last year due to furry issue, front disc brake replaced during my 30k service too. Looks like I need to make another appointment soon as the helicopter sound is back again after I did my tyres allignment during the 40k service. Overall for 72k, this car is worth every bucks paid.

driver's seat furry? perforated leather seat?

Preve CFE doesn't come with leather seat, other than the LE version. WHat happened to mine was the fabric started coming apart, where we call it furry seat

Installed the Racechip S and Racechip response control yday at the RC pro shop. Really impressed with the improvement after the mods, after all it's all P&P. Next up, changing the fuel pressure regulator.

New to this.

Mind telling what are RS & RRC?

And what are the benefits/improvements?

Thanks.
*
Racechip S is a P&P chip which mathematically manipulates the boost sensor signal, immediate effect is a higher boost level. This is done by delaying the activation of factory electronic boost controller which by-passes the exhaust gas via the wastegate. Racechip S is developed specially for proton CFE engines by the german company racechip. As for the response control, it's something like a throttle controller if u've heard of ETC before, but it's better in the sense that it's designed by the german team.

Benefits would be that the throttle will be much responsive and acceleration is much more improved. U gotta try it to experience the changes.

Thanks.

Is it DIY or need the shop to install it?

Plug and drive or need additional wiring?

Price?

Thanks.
*
U can DIY if u know where to plug it in. No additional wiring needed, the chip comes with it's own harness. I got it done at Racechip HQ in PJ. Price for the race chip s is 1799 and response control is 1399 but i got it at a cheaper price as they were giving discount for those who are willing to paticipate in their development group.

Just got my radiator fan cable harness replaced today, took only 45 minutes, much faster than I expected. Changed my car batt as well, century marathoner, 245 after trading in the old batt. Not the cheapest I guess.

Wow.. That was fast.. i left my car for half a day..

Yeah was told by the SA that it would take 5 hours, had actually called a cab while they were taking down the bumper. But I asked to check for my suspension system as well, so it took a total of about 90 mintues as they cleaned my aircon filter, check my car batt voltage, and checked the OBD codes after changing the wire harness.

I wonder why suprima front LED light is brighter than preve. I thought it's the same headlamp unit.
*
Yes it's the same head light. This is because DRL is enabled on the suprima S.
