This is Conroe E6700 ES overclocking result, it's seem like the processor no overclockable, can't reach higher Mhz, even I have been setting at 1.575v, also can't boot to windows. haiz...  doh.gif

Overclock System:

C2D Conroe E6700 2.66Ghz @ 3.650Ghz @ Intel Factory Original Stock Cooling @ 1.550v
Gigabyte D965-DS3
Corsair XMS2 512MB *2 REV5.7 DDR2 675 (4-4-4-12) Dual Channel @ DDR2 730 ~ 5 - 6 - 6 - 18 ~ 2.1v
Power Logic Atrix 600T PSU
Galaxy 7300GT DDR3 128MB 1st batch

See picture... No good result, because suck Conroe ES!

Seems to be 2GB does pump some juice on Pi. But why Jian_yi is not using 4:5 to put the ram MHz upfront?

depends on your motherboard actually, most 965 mb do support it but it'll hold back quite a lot of performance

i dun thk ddr533 will hold bck performance...cz its fsb is 266x7=1.86ghz... wink.gif
so ddr533 = ddr2 = 533 ÷ 2 = 266 = 266x7 = 1.86ghz tongue.gif
correct me if im wrong sweat.gif
so i thk nthg will hold bck.....

doh.gif You obviously FAILED CompArch 101 doh.gif
(this is actually the 2nd time I used this phrase in the forum... damn noobs...)

C2D FSB is 266MHz x 4 = 1066MHz (quad-pumped bus)

Oops major mistake. I FAILED TOO doh.gif

C2D FSB is 266MHz x 4 = 1066MHz (quad-pumped bus)
DDR2 533 -> 533MHz x 2 = 1066MHz (double-pumped)
which gives you a 1:1 ratio btw FSB:RAM - your proc is not wasting time doing nothing as the RAM can keep up with the rate at which data is moved to the proc. Most overclockers want to achieve this 1:1 ratio.

DDR2 533 should be 266mhz only,right?
