QUOTE(cks2k2 @ Aug 19 2006, 08:38 PM) (this is actually the 2nd time I used this phrase in the forum... damn noobs...) C2D FSB is 266MHz x 4 = 1066MHz (quad-pumped bus) DDR2 533 -> 533MHz x 2 = 1066MHz (double-pumped) which gives you a 1:1 ratio btw FSB:RAM - your proc is not wasting time doing nothing as the RAM can keep up with the rate at which data is moved to the proc. Most overclockers want to achieve this 1:1 ratio. |

QUOTE(tAmp0i @ Aug 31 2006, 10:44 AM) Ya quite nice, built in Memtest86 but no adjustable multiplier and max Vdimm 2.2v. FSB termination max 1.5v (default 1.2v), NB/SB max 1.8v (1.5v default), Vcore max 1.80v.... wat do u mean by no adjustable multiplier?for ES conroe? But i tried not passing the 485MHz barrier so back to DS3 now by the way, some easy vmod can be done, stilt psoted edi, right? erm..i faced some prob few days b4 but im not sure wat is the prob..my e63 on biostar, can hit 420fsb with default vcore, vfsb and nv/sb volt, when i want to go higher like 430/440,i need to increase alot of vcore until 1.45-1.5 sth..ram tested with ahpaul82's prime setting 430fsb vdimm 2.15v(measure with multimeter) very stable.. QUOTE(ksl279 @ Sep 12 2006, 11:40 PM) huh?izzit?i refered to ur signature..hahaQUOTE(pcmoddingmy @ Sep 12 2006, 11:46 PM) Any D9 can do over 800 easily. bro,ur ram is wat chip?d9gkx? Heck, even my old skool DDR533 kit can do over DDR800 easily... D9s of cause. Don't let the numbers fool you. Newer D9s can do over DDR1000 easily QUOTE(remysix @ Sep 12 2006, 11:48 PM) if urs if the d9 one, sure can do >900 maa...my kvr even can do >950...sure urs can... i think if we increase vcore until certain vcore, cpuz will show 1.213v,anyone can confirm?@pcmodding yes, my statement was wif ce1 and eist disable...cpu-z does not really show the right voltage...i'd prefer to use easytune (since mine is giga mobo), closer to what being set in bios, but then again the fluctuation wise, not sure la...that's why i also dunno which one to use... and pcmoddingmy's cpuz is showing true vcore, coz normally it will show 1.213v |

QUOTE(pcmoddingmy @ Sep 12 2006, 11:52 PM) Well, CPU-Z does show right Vcore on my board (TForce P965). It only gets a little cracky when above 1.5V. Checked with Biostar's monitoring tool and CPU-Z's reading is same with it... speedfan does show correct vcore also..hehe The best is of cause to stick a DMM onto the measuring point, but I still can't figure out where to read Vcore on this damn board. @ksl279 lower ur timing better.. |
