C2D FSB is 266MHz x 4 = 1066MHz (quad-pumped bus)
DDR2 533 -> 533MHz x 2 = 1066MHz (double-pumped)
which gives you a 1:1 ratio btw FSB:RAM - your proc is not wasting time doing nothing as the RAM can keep up with the rate at which data is moved to the proc. Most overclockers want to achieve this 1:1 ratio.

Just curious, how much did the 1GB sticks of Mushkin DDR2-800 cost?

Ya quite nice, built in Memtest86 but no adjustable multiplier and max Vdimm 2.2v. FSB termination max 1.5v (default 1.2v), NB/SB max 1.8v (1.5v default), Vcore max 1.80v....
But i tried not passing the 485MHz barrier so back to DS3 now

heeheh...that xp120 canno use no more liao since i gatal2 tangan did some modding to it's bracket for my naked opty last time...so need to get another hsf and seriously FAST coz the temp is killing me!
dunno why could get close or better than u...maybe the timing too loose...still not sure what's the best setting for the mem...that's why i wanna know if there is an apps that i can use to view the mem setting like MemSet2.1...so i use it as my basis to tighten up the timing...

Any D9 can do over 800 easily.
Heck, even my old skool DDR533 kit can do over DDR800 easily... D9s of cause.
Don't let the numbers fool you. Newer D9s can do over DDR1000 easily 

if urs if the d9 one, sure can do >900 maa...my kvr even can do >950...sure urs can...

yes, my statement was wif ce1 and eist disable...cpu-z does not really show the right voltage...i'd prefer to use easytune (since mine is giga mobo), closer to what being set in bios, but then again the fluctuation wise, not sure la...that's why i also dunno which one to use...

Well, CPU-Z does show right Vcore on my board (TForce P965). It only gets a little cracky when above 1.5V. Checked with Biostar's monitoring tool and CPU-Z's reading is same with it...
The best is of cause to stick a DMM onto the measuring point, but I still can't figure out where to read Vcore on this damn board.

my ram? max i can go is 920 onli with 2.3v. When try to set 2.4v, after boot into Windows, during Welcome screen there, its say Registry corrupted bla bla.... Now using 900@2.1v 24/7

conroe (4mb) needs lot of voltage once it go beyond 3.2ghz.

i owned 4 conroe last time and all of them managed to hit higher fsb than my allendales but they needed lots of voltage and the temp was so hot for aircooling..

with allendale, i dun have prob with temp even at highvcore...
