how much is the Gigabyte board?

i think it won't help much... tight timing is better in superPi rite?

just grabbed the last unit of Core2 Duo E6300 from ALL IT, other shops all don't have stock, or want to sell as PC bundle only.

Now testing at friend's house, not yet back to JB house.

Currently doing pretty stable @ 2.8GHz 7 x 400MHz, RAM @ 800MHz 5-6-6-15.
Will stress test again when I back home.

Hopefully my SCSI MegaRAID PCI-E card can work well on the 2nd PCi-E x4 slot of the DS4 Mainboard.

Will take actual photos and do a comprehensive review about this rig later  

omg? You guys are seriously pushing Conroe processor from 1.8 to 2.5????? I didn't know it can go that far! That's like 40% increase of speed?

wah...ram timing 5-5-5-15 kah~ owh ya..forgot intel one..heard that intel core didn't really got significant benefit if using tight timing...so then it can go to high speed oc rather than tight timing oc

3066MHz this figure is sweet, 3150MHz is stable too but I need MCH +0.3v which will cause my SCSI MegaRAID cannot be detected.

my fren with DS3 got some problem

1. Cannot boot without CD in the CD-ROM drive. Will freeze at post screen. Will boot like normal only when there is a CD (any CD) inside the drive.
2. Cannot overclock from BIOS. Setting will reboot to default speed. Overclocking is only possible through software in Windows. The only thing can change in BIOS is just the RAM divider and timing. Any changes to the FSB (not even 1MHz) is possible through BIOS.

DS3 has been flashed to D4.

i was using value ram 667 before no problem oc it up to 430fsb
but my friend ds3 ady rma twice cant oc even a bit using my hyperX ram & my e6300 also
now he change Asus P5B DLX wifi ed ady damn pissed with ds3
but part of it depend on luck also la.......

lol, 533Mhz can clock to 950Mhz! Damn! Holy Shit!  I still dun't know, erm I also think this is 667Mhz one...

depends on your motherboard actually, most 965 mb do support it but it'll hold back quite a lot of performance

got it from my fren oh... he used it for 1 month only and wanna change to performance ram... got it for RM600... worth or not?? HYundai electroNICS C4...

bcoz i've tried few boards (ds4, dq6, ds3, biostar 965p deluxe, & p5b deluxe) already and with my E6600 most of them are stuck around 460fsb..

rite now i have 3 boards lying in my room... ds3, biostar 965p deluxe and asus p5b deluxe.. one of them is mine, the other 2 are not.

ds3 : RM550, a simply good board. i bet everyone here knows bout it.

biostar 965p deluxe : RM500, a very good ocing board, with this board, i manage to hit the highest fsb with my E6600 at 9x multiplier. and clock to clock it is faster than the other 2 boards. has good features such as power & reset button on the board (like dfi lanparty), simple bios..

asus p5b deluxe wifi edition : RM970, almost identical to my previous DQ6. so far it has few issues. 0502 the ram timing become x-7-7-23 for some memory, while 0507 has divider issue for some memory. has stability problem between 360fsb till 400fsb.. but beyond that can easily do stability test. rich of features, perfectly fit its rm1000 price.

based on my experience, if u like oc so much, it's worth to try the biostar. it might be 'biostar', but it is one of the best c2d board i ever have.. and it is the cheapest
