Spend RM250 Shell + RM200 (local)x3 + RM1000 (Overseas) + RM1150 (Govt/Jompay etc) to get RM110

Oops I saw rm30 too.

Personally I feel 5% petrol cash back is too low to make in impact. Groceries 5% also, there are comparable card out there like maybank Amex and cimb Petronas VI. E Wallet capped at rm10, technically that’s the only “real” cash back you are getting. Utilities 5% is also negligible if you know how to use PAM machine.

Oversea spending is out of question, very small chance you are utilizing it.

Most probably will cut my wife’s card, and for my own to monitor because they are waiving sst

Don't forget to swipe 24x /year to get AF (RM195) waiver.

Also CC->Spaylater won't last long. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Oh no, gone are the days CC with good CB.
There's even each category min. spend to get the CB.

1 by 1 bank CC being nerfed.

Nerfed hard.

Now if you do minimum 1000, shell 3% = 30
that's what all it takes

If you try hard to go 2000, had to go through
shell 600 = 5% = CB 30
ewallet = 500 = 2% = CB 10
utility 500 = 2% = CB 10
find your own 401 spending

Last time 2500 get 100 , now 2001 get 50 with further restriction

(but utility/grocery had better access via PAM/ other CC that offer higher grocery CB)

=============
They knew ppl apply for Shell-Visa is not the kind that goes Oversea lah, that's why to deter ppl .

Oversea people i know dun look at CB at all, they all play Miles game.

Game over!
Save me time to get another RHB Shell Visa-i
Before the revision, this card ranked 2nd among my cards; after this, it will drop to the last. Sigh.

By the way, if I make a balance transfer with this card, will the monthly instalment be counted as others? Which is included in the cashback spending pool?

My statement date is 19th of the month. If I swipe 2000 to e-wallet and 500 on shell on 21st July, will I get max RM100 CB for the last time in August?

yes, balance transfer installement has been considered as a filler for now. Not sure what happens after the revision

Hopefully, they keep this.
Because I just make a BT, monthly RM1,500. Means I just need to spend a RM1,500 to get about RM40-50 cb.
That still worth to keep the card.

same like PBB, it's a gamble

not sure how they define the "effective date".... segregation by txn or statement/cb cutoff

for me, after getting June's cb this month, can safely chopchop the shell cards. less things to worry/manage. also simplified the card spending. rclxm9.gif
