Requested for service tax rebate and got it immediately.

I learned that RHB provides instant rebate for Tier 1 customers, while Tier 2 customers need to swipe 3x. I also learned that I had 200++ swipes in the past one year.

Tier 1 = customers with more than 24 swipes per year
Tier 2 = customers with less than 24 swipes per year

1st year - 6x
2nd year - 5x only . as 1x is when card activation (new customer)
Auto debit dont count already. Same like installment.

bolded part wrong info.
supposedly it is, 1 time free access per calender year.
not 1 free access per activation.

Few days ago I called for sst rebate and this is the first time RHB ask me to swipe 3x to get the rebate. I had >200 swipes and >RM40k last year.

i didn't make more than 200 swipes but definitely more than 24 swipes to get free annual fee rebate. asked for sst rebate but also asked to swipe 3x any amount within 2 weeks.

i see. it would be so weird in this case - meaning they effectively nerfed the card from 6x entry per calendar year to 5x.

I didn't realize autodebit would be treated like installment, especially when it's charged to me monthly by insurance company, and does not behave like installment where my credit limit would be reduced..

ya this would make sense more, meaning every year there'll be total of 6 entries for existing VS holder

So if I have 1 VS and 1 WM, then I have 2 free access even without any retail spend on the particular calendar year?

Hi All,
for the RHB Shell Visa CC,
cashback for the monthly period cycle is based on the cycle
e.g. 1st April to 30 April 2025? or
based on the CC statement period monthly cycle period?

Not both, but calculated till one day before statement date.
Similar to Affin CC.

Eg your statement date 19 April 2025.

Transactions posted on 19/3-18/4, CB will be posted on 19/4 (statement date) or later (occasionally).

Transaction posted on 19/4 and appear in April statement, CB (19/4-18/5) will be calculated on 18/5 and posted on statement 19/5.

I had gone through it for more than 10 years. (RHB CC)

Occasionally, especially for the spending campaigns in the past, some of my transactions were posted on the statement date.

I think depend on CS.

I called for Service Tax rebate @ early February, they ask me to do 3x physical swipe despite i can confirm i have > 24 transaaction/swipe per year. They ask me to do it before 21

But i am at oversea.

Then i re-request again, they grant me immediate rebate.

Hi all, jst got my rhb shell cc. Now, Im thinking of how to pay off the cc debt in the future since I have no saving acc with RHB.
I hope to have a RHB saving acc with NO debit card , is it possible ? as I dont want to get charged by the debit card annual fee anymore (I have enuf amount of debit card for now).

The options I have rn (according to the rhb mobile app) are :
1. rhb smart acc / i
2. rhb max save
3. saving acc i (wihtout conventional)

I need the saving acc just to pay off my cc debt ONLY, nothing else.

Pls advice. Thanks all !

You can't use Duitnow Transfer (IBFT) from your bank account (any bank in Malaysia)?

For the subsequent years, it will be waived subject to RM5,000-00 retail spend per annum or swipe their card a minimum of 5 times in a year.

You don't need to open a savings account with RHB just to pay off the credit card. Just do a DuitNow transfer from any bank or e-wallet and select credit card for transfer type.

pretty much this
otherwise they would open saving account for you as well.

Same as Citi and Amex, my Citi does not have saving account as i can never meet their requirements lol (but applying their cc was walk in the park experience)
Amex is not a bank too, people pay amex cc with other bank.
