Guide to track ur current sms and call usage - Strictly for Digi iPhone plan customer ONLY. [Credited to sheahann]

For Digi plan user that wanna track their current SMS and Call usage .
Im using the i88 plan with 200minutes free calls and 200SMS ..
For those who wanna keep track of their usage without having to jailbreak then can have a look here.
As far as i know. Apps store doesnt have those apps to track ur calls and sms(at least for free) while cydia MobileLog(causes FaceTime crash) and CallCounter(not free).
So here's how to do it.

1. Login to Digi OCS .
2. Click Unbilled transaction and the Unbilled Transaction.
user posted image

3. To track SMS usage.

Choose call type as MO SMS.

My billing ends on 15th November and start a new 1 on 16th november. So i choose 16th november as From , and To to the latest day( if today is dec 7 then choose 7th loh, but in this guide i will just take 18th november as an example).

Now just click Submit and u can see the total SMS u currently used.
user posted image

OK done with SMS .. its quite straigh forward ..

Now come to the calls usage part . Digi did provide the list but image if u got around 200calls .. are you going to add up 1 by 1 ?

4. To track Calls Usage.

Calls type choose Originating

My billing ends on 15th November and start a new 1 on 16th november. In this guide i choose date From 15th november to 7 December .

In the printscreen i got 77calls .. imagine if u got 200calls and how u gonna sum it up to track ur usage ?
user posted image

Solution:
1.Click the Download To CSV.
2. Open it up in Excel.
3. Click the "A" column 1 time(to select whole column) .
4.Choose Data > Text to column.
5. In the box choose Delimited then next > Tick Other and put in "|" and then click Finish. Now the data is correctly aligned into column.
6. Click the "D" column(Duration/Volume) then click Home>Format > Format Cells.
7. In the box choose Custom > then replace the word General with hh:mm:ss and then click OK.
8. Now simply click 1 empty cell and type in =SUM(D:D)
9. U can now see the total usage in that box ..

user posted image

As according to above image, has used up to 1hour 33mins & 28secs ( equivalent to 99min 28second ). If you are on iDigi88, with 200mins free call; you have left 100mins & 32secs on free call.

i change to postpaid on 20th dec, so meaning i pay my bills on 19th january is that how it works? kinda blur here. if i dont pay my bills on time, can i still use the line?

and when i sign up the digi smartplan 48, there's an advance payment of rm50. that rm50 means i dont have to pay my 1st month bill? or it will be slowly deducted through monthly bills?

They'll offer you a rebate, i think.

I'm still on the old iDiGi contract for 1 of my spare phone.

It's 88 minus 20 = 68 per months

Going to terminate that contract since it has expired last month laugh.gif

Actually you can extend the contract for 1 year...
So you can get back your $68 billing..
What to do is go to DIGI Store and ask them bout extended contract...

The best is, they didn't charge you a penalty when you teminated the line within the contract..

Q28. I have two (2) months to go before my existing DiGi contract ends. Can I sign up for the new iPhone 5?
A28. Yes. You can sign up for the new iPhone 5 via DiGi Store Online or your nearest participating DiGi Retail Centre.

1. If I opt for this, will they end my current contract early by 2 months?

2. Current plan is paid by EPP where they have already blocked out the amount in my credit card. What if I don't want to choose EPP this time around? What will happen to the blocked amount for the last 2 months within the contract?

Thanks!

EPP means you already paid the full amount ma.

The last 2 months consider you pay them already lol.

So you can terminate the contract earlier but you still need to pay the balance last 2 months of EPP on top of your new contract.

I see. But that does not seem fair when they offer early renewal without penalty right?

I guess I'll just wait for the contract to expire before taking a new one to be safe.

It's correct what?

You are not paying any penalty.

You are just honoring your contract.

if they say you need to pay Rm 500, then that's a punishment.

It's correct what?

You are not paying any penalty.

You are just honoring your contract.

if they say you need to pay Rm 500, then that's a punishment.
*
Yes, it's correct but I don't see the point of early renewal though. It's like giving me RM500 discount (no penalty) but I lose RM500 at the same time for that two months.

It's for those who don't opt for EPP.

If you don't opt for EPP, it's beneficial for you tongue.gif

Very troublesome.

16th January is my new billing period, but I have yet to receive any sort of payment info like bill or what from Digi for the December bill.. My bf also.. And he asked the Digi Centre peeps, they said first month's bill is free. hmm.gif i wonder if they mean first billing period is free (as in the alang alang one) or what? First time postpaid user here.. Scared about being in debt to Digi i want to pay my bill ASAP

Hi, currently on i88, i can get this smart family sup line?
http://www.digi.com.my/postpaid/dgfamily.do
previously DGfamily 30 is included voice commitment, how about this smart family now.
if any voice call charge above the 28, then its not worth to get it already.

depends on which one you choose.
got internet quota de no free talktime.
the other one is 100 minutes and 100 sms to other network, no internet.
that day when i apply for iDiGi the digi guy say the rm30 package still available.

Thanks for reply,
The free internet attracted me. But my main concern is the monthly comitment of rm28 is only internet, and any usage will charge above this 28?
Btw, according their website the old dg30 discontinued.

Your bill will be prorated. They'll only count towards how many days left until the date of bill cycle.

Although you can do some calculation by your own self, make sure you call them and ask how much minutes and sms you're suppose to have. Since your minutes and SMS are also prorated by them being divided by days of joining until next bill date, you may want to avoid it being overuse.

your bill will be prorated for the month, meaning that your free calls, free sms, free data will be scaled according to the bill's duration. e.g. your bill is half the month, you will get all the freebies half of its original value.

It's been a month now coverting from BB to iPhone with DiGi. I'm totally clueless in how can I check the remaining free calls that included in the package. The DiGi app that available only shows how much of quota has been used and the outstanding bill. Confusing...

Coverage of digi really depend on area bro. But in major cities shouldn't be a prob.
For upfront payment there should be some that is billed into your account.

Call digi cs and ask for it. They will waive it next bill. If really cannot go to nearest digi center they'll settle for you.

nope, they still sell you for rm2012.
the rm164 is just their way of explaining how much you can save by getting this package that's it.

not sure about this *128# thingy but i usually check digi ocs for better billings. IIRC negative values mean digi still owe you money.

iDiGi 238. ori price rm238/month, after discount rm161/month, difference rm77/month
in 24 months you save rm1848
so iPhone price is 2012-1848 = 164..
so you still need to pay 2012 for iphone bro smile.gif

*
it depends on your usage.
medium caller + medium messaging + want internet go for i88
if rarely call and sms go for smart plan.

Hi guys, need help on voicemail. I'm postpaid user and I recently activated my voicemail. But just found out that we'll be charged when retrieving voicemail. So I want to deactivate voicemail. Any pro here know how to do it? I tried the *128# menu but only have the activation of voicemail option. No deactivating option. OCS also not helping.

Pick up nano sim from digi bangsar store. I saw dat, having problem in term of 3g connectivity. Then signal bar only 3. If in the house, the bar will be 3. Goin out, sumtimes full. And now im at ou, bar show 3 bar only. May i know, is there any problem because of nano sim still new or others? Have been like dis but dat time digi upgrading its service.

They're currently selling one for RM499 without rebate, although on its online store it will show Out Of Stock.

Still, you have to pay for advance fee.

Digi charges RM 20 for new nano sim.

And Celcom only FOC considering you're on a contract with them more than 12 months, if not they still charge you RM 10.

I signed up iDigi88 for my iphone5 back in December when they just launched. I have noticed that they have increased the internet quota to 2GB when I checked it using their OCS mobile app. But that seems to be inaccurate after I checked using other channels:-
OCS on digi website = showing 1GB
*200# = showing 1GB
Called their CS and they said 1 GB too

While digi will only throttle without extra charges if we exceed the quota, I advise those who rely on their OCS mobile app to be careful of their usage.

Can any iPhone 4S user tell me what's the latest baseband firmware that Digi is using with 6.1.03 firmware? I need to restore a jailbroken phone. :b Won't discuss jailbreaking here. Send a PM if it's convenient. Thanks in advance.

I also jumped shop from umobile which previously using UMI28, the internet speed at my area can reach around 4-5mbps.
Now on iDigi88, what I can say is "jump wrong ship" shakehead.gif
The maximum speed of digi 3g is around 1.6-1.7mbps in big city.
Go for digi if you are ok with that....for me i regret as im tied with 2 years contract cry.gif

yes u should...got my iDigi88 with 2gb quota...
never hit 1gb quota pun every month....
the speed is too slow for me to hit the quota! doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif
nevertheless the free calls and free sms thats comes with it is the most worth because it is for all networks unlike maxis's free sms only limited for maxis-maxis. so got pro and cons bah thumbup.gif

Umobile using maxis line. So speed is far more better than digi. But umobile line unstable.
I'm using postpaid umobile 28. Line is pretty fast
But unstable, will keep on putus putus.
So I'm stick back with digi.

If I'm not mistaken, U Mobile is using Celcom network, but not Maxis network.

Generally u mobile line is not as good as Celcom. Although U mobile partially using Celcom network, but I believe that Celcom will put the priority to its own user than U mobile user.

And from my experience, Celcom network better than u mobile, with some exception in certain area in big city.

what you said basically is correct, if i were celcom also ill priority my own user more than other telco user.

even tho its fast, but not stable that was useless. i rather slower speed but stable.

Anyone notice the iDigi 88 package,
the data quota has dropped from 2GB back to 1GB?
Used to be 1GB, upgraded to 2GB and now back to 1GB?

I am thinking to switch too, but the iDigi88 plan are the best arounder,
talk time and sms are to all operators and enough for moderate usage.
Just only 1GB data isn't enough for me, 2GB is just nice...

Coverage is a problem too...
Has been uses iDigi88 since iphone4 firstly launch...

finally i terminated my digi smart plan 3GB without having to pay the penalty. my house in penang never get 3G signal and 3bars signal or above. 90% of incoming calls became missed call alerts.i think my house might be a blind spot for digi coverage.

my quota is 3GB and they upgrade to 5GB for me FOC, but i only managed to use not more than 600mb every month.

made complain twice thru 0162211800 and got sms saying my area will be improved on quarter 4. so i called again n demand for terminating the contract without penalty, and they agree so the next day i just go to terminate the contract at pulau tikus service center.

already switched to umobile prepaid UMI28, if not good enuf will go for maxis surfmore 50. i will never use digi again unless the coverage is improved.

Yes, they do. Got my umobile prepaid on nano sim. Paid $10. For maxis, I heard it's $25 but I signed up a plan. So far, don't think they charge me. Not sure about digi but should be foc if sign up plan.

Well, I'm guessing that Digi wants to make a big splash on launching LTE, covering larger population in one fell swoop.

My place (more like a kampung actually) previously does not have Digi 3G. After the upgrade schedule for Digi LTE passed, suddenly got 3G. Probably they have the LTE equipment in place already, waiting for some sort of greenlight (internally).

A tie-in LTE launch with a high-profile device is possible. Next iPhone launch perhaps.

Ya, but still have thousand more sites to go before the LTE launched, LOl, maybe they want to wait until all sites a fully equipped with LTE then only launch . Yes I am guessing Digi will only launch :TE when the next iPhone model comes out.

Agreed with you.

Initially (2 years ago) DiGi planned to upgrade all their transmit tower infrastructure and switch to ZTE equipment all in one box, which mean can handle 900MHz, 1800MHz, 2100MHz, 2600MHz (GSM, GPRS, EDGE, 3G, HSDPA or 3.5G, 4G LTE) by the end of December 2012. And all this is ready to run whenever DiGi switch on from the system. Therefore those upgraded sites, previously doesn't have 3G or even EDGE, and now is covered.

However, at the end of December 2012, DiGi silently expand the plan to December 2013, because DiGi was unable to complete even 45% of the scheduled. More correctly said is ZTE unable to complete it. (ZTE is the current sole DiGi network contractor, which responsible for site build and upgrade.)

DiGi already has LTE license on hand, whenever they want, or they wish, they can launch it and I'm sure the coverage is far wider than Celcom and Maxis. But I do believed that DiGi want to be first telco that fully launch the LTE and cover over 95% of populations.

In the previous interview with DiGi CEO in press (I read from newspaper), he said DiGi is expected to launch the LTE in Q3 2013.

Hopefully when DiGi launch it, DiGi can cover 2 frequency bands which is 1800MHz and 2600MHz, which 1800MHz is for iPhone 5.

Halo,

My iDigi plan will expire 15 June 2013. Can I take up a new contract (+ iphone 5) now so that the next billing month would start with the new contract?

I casually asked the staff at digi store and he said i can only sign up on 16 June 2013. If i sign up 16 June, means 1 day will be pro-rate charged RM88 plan, and the rest will be based on new contract which is RM60 per month. Is this correct?

Just dont want to waste my time waiting after 15 June.

Appreciate your feedback. Thanks!

According to internal source (not from DiGi, but from ZTE competitor and others), ZTE as a sole contractor responsible to switch all the DiGi towers/sites to ZTE box which can handle all GPRS, EDGE, 3G, HSDPA, 4G LTE failed to achieve it's KPI and promise.

That's why you will notice that in the DiGi tomorrow network website ZTE name disappear and the number of upgrading sites become slower since the beginning of year 2013.

At this moment still not sure whether ZTE still responsible for the upgrade or has been terminated. We believed that DiGi may postpone it's plan to end of this year, if DiGi want to be first full coverage LTE telco.

Mine wan got tiny scratch too. They main concern more like water damage by keep on look at the sign, then whether open before or not. see my iPhone screw dun stop which i am very sure never open since it under warranty. About replacement set,i suppose is refurbished wan, need wait 2 week.
Bring your iPhone go to claim since still under warranty. No harm trying.

I think is not worth the time try around different branch. If your iPhone just minor scratch not related to the button function, they should accept ur claim. Unless it is hit on button and spoil then no choice.

Try restore your iPad via iTunes.

If this step also failed, call DiGi, and tell them you tried both methods, and ask them what to do.

He's on ambassador plan.

Likely because digi's testing their LTE, so allowing their "privileged user to test it out 1st"

But it could be a carrier setting change so if there is no speedtest results, just take it with a pinch of salt smile.gif

He's on ambassador plan.

Likely because digi's testing their LTE, so allowing their "privileged user to test it out 1st"

But it could be a carrier setting change so if there is no speedtest results, just take it with a pinch of salt smile.gif

oh i see haha
hope they can release LTE ASAP haha
cant wait dy

LTE actually nothing special except when u want to download something.

Other than that, the speed is pretty much like normal when you surf and chat and etc.

For me i think digi is always the cheapest. But, i think that digi network sites is less compared to maxis. That's why their coverage is quite limited. Maxis have like 5k for 3g sites only while digi only have 5k total sites. Correct me if im wrong.

LTE has faster loading speed and as well save your battery life compared to 3G, 3g is way too battery draining.

Can you see the difference?

I can't, to be honest.

Opening Facebook and loading the forum on my 3G or LTE has no major difference.

Can't even notice it.

Well, except when opening large sized pictures from some sites.

You may differentiate it by loading youtube? Not sure how it goes as never try 30mbps downloading speed before yet....You know in East malaysia...most of us only afford for 5mpbs downloading speed by unifi... Digi the fastest only hits 2mbps on 3G

Download wise, it's fast.

In a perfect situation yes.

But sadly, in reality, no.

Coz once I step outta my office, it drops back and forth from 3G to LTE, which causes heavier battery drain than usual laugh.gif

If it's on constant LTE, I think the battery would be better too.

Sadly, in Malaysia, that does not happen.

I think if this issue couldn't resolve, you may want to bring to consumer court Tribunal http://ttpm.kpdnkk.gov.my/portal/index.php/en/

since it's less than RM 25,000 , so I think they will accept your case and let's see what the chairman decision.

and it's just RM 5 filing fee.

at least you can try.

in US, consumer bring it to court and sued Apple. in Malaysia, Tribunal may help...

IMO i think u should ask sen q to do the warranty for u
since u bought it from them and extended warranty WITH THEM as well
they should be doing all the warranty and settlement for u
whats the point in paying them for warranty and they ask u to do it urself?

I'm sorry, I realise that there is an independent thread pertaining to Digi issues, however I believe that my case is a little bit more complicated where I'm seeking for public opinions/advise on a specific situation instead of mere questions regarding rates and plans.

Yes, probably SenQ is obligated to settle this issue. But they did mention upon purchasing (together with the Digi privilege cards) that first year warranty issues are handled by Digi and that subsequent (extended period) 3 years are to be handled under SenQ.

Anyway I still think that as professional dealers/service providers, Digi should be obligated to solve their customer's issues/requests instead of making mere assumptions and excuses. Moreover this is a case of manufacturing defect. (or am I confused with the rights I have as a consumer?) wink.gif

I wound suggest you try call apple helpline directly since digi unable to solve your case.
As long as you never open your iPhone 5,they should consider other option to check whether your iPhone open before or not.
The screw are so tiny and if tiny scratch also consider major scratch for the screw.
I dun think apple just reject your case like that as it depend on how digi send email to apple.
My iPhone 5 send for claim also say open before, then i show my bad mood face, they give another techniqian more experience to counter check then confirm not open before proceed with warranty claim.
You should call apple yourselves, they have more senior staff to attend to your case since your iPhone is 99% new.
Dun forget apple never saw your iPhone 5 and just based on comment on email send by digi to give answer to digi.

I’ve actually tried calling Apple’s service centre (on June 27, 2013), which wasn’t a pleasant experience. I called for the service department and told the service attendant about my problem. He requested for my IMEI number which I gave him, he checked his system and verified that my IPhone 5 was a Digi set, then I told him that I had warranty issues and needed help. He straightaway responded “please refer to Digi for any issues pertaining to your purchase” (it was then apparent to me that they do not deal directly with IPhone issues). I told him that I have just returned from Digi centre on the same morning and they have rejected my claim, thus I suppose Apple could rectify this issue and I asked him for a remedy. The service attendant then reiterated his statement with an additional suggestion, suggesting that “if that is the case, I (me) could probably talk to the management of Digi, compromising with them (paying for the repairs) and they would most likely be willing to reinstate my defective phone” (I was left wondering, I thought I called for the support department instead of sales department). I responded and said, I am only 4-5 months into my warranty period and I don’t see a reason why I have to pay for manufacturing defects. He did not fight back and insisted that I deal with Digi. I requested for the customer service of Apple (email), I told him that I wanted to lodge a complaint. He was reluctant to my request and again, insisted that I deal with Digi. In the end I had no choice but to succumb, I requested for Digi’s customer service phone number which he happily gave me.

The next thing I did after hanging up the phone was to call Digi’s service centre. I told the service attendant my story and requested for the customer service’s email which I wanted to write in (the above letter). She willingly gave me the email which was (custsvc@digi.com.my). The service attendant then promised that I would receive a feedback within 48 hours. I lodged the complaint on (16:50, June 27, 2013), as at now, I have yet to receive any feedback from Digi.

Apple service helpline din do wrong thing, according to apple malaysia website, if iPhone buy from telco, telco should take full responsibility for warranty claim.
May be you can go back to the center talk nicely with them that you insist that your iPhone 5 never open before.
If they can say put in pocket scratch the screw, how they can prove that your iPhone 5 100% open before?

iPhone 5 does support HSPA+ but will show 3G.

GSM model A1429*: UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); LTE (Bands 1, 3, 5)

Digi Media Alert

"We will be investing approximately RM650 million in Capex in the next three years to gradually expand our LTE coverage to key urban centers nationwide, and target 1,500 sites at end 2014. This will be done in tandem with the expansion of our 3G population coverage to more than 75% of populated areas by end 2013, the upgrade of our network to HSPA+, and the further roll-out of our fibre build to enable the efficient delivery of high-speed mobile internet services to our customers,"

The coverage for 3g is also very limited. And dropped call problems are still frequent. The only thing i'm satisfied with digi is their plan n price. So cheap compared to other telco. But as an owner of an iphone 5. I think that it is such a waste owning a phone with lte support but no lte service from network provider.

he have to clear off his previous debt with other telco or else he wont got any chances to register a new postpaid line under his name due to all telco (Maxis, DiGi, Celcom) is linked. rclxms.gif

1GB for any internet data and the other 1GB reserve for facebook, whatsapp data

guys, I'm thinking of going to the smartplan 58. i've heard from friends that the 2 gb comes in a lump sum instead of being separated.

anyhow, after finishing either quota, will my speed be RESTRICTED (cannot use) or THROTTLED. some of my friends say no prob still can use but other users do say that they are restricted.

old user yes u can countinue surfing. But for new user / new plan, the internet will be RESTRICTED. Btw, i'm not sure how DiGi divide the quota that ppl saying it reserved bcz when i used up my 3GB / additional 3GB surfing like normal, no laggy no RESTRICTED (add on use for streaming youtube watch movie) rclxms.gif

haha, im asking him/her for total LTE subs... and Im not iphone users...
To enable LTE for iphone... besides government approval, DiGi still needs apple approval....
I support for maxis-apple testing before and I have total LTE subs for maxis network.... just wanna compare the total subs between Maxis (launched 1 jan) and DiGi (launched 5 July) biggrin.gif

why you so like iDiGI plans? do you considering buying a new iPhone or not... if not you may go ask for extend... but imo by that time you just wait for iPhone 5s launch, then get the new phone... good for you

Yah i like iDIGI plan laugh.gif
Internet usage not high 1GB enough for me, plus the 200mins call and sms, mostly enough for me. smile.gif

Not yet decide buy new phone or not, using iPhone 4s now, still usable...If can extend sure good, save money.
maybe change to other phone but i still prefer iDIGI plan. hehe.

Normally they will give you a call to ask you whether you want to further extend your plan or not when you are close to the expiry date.

I did the extension twice d. also 2010 plan.

wow, that's nice! biggrin.gif

that means your 1st extend was 2012, then 2nd extend was 2013 (this year) ?

So your current iDigi going to expired on 2014? drool.gif

I see... your main concern is LTE, Digi always slower than Maxis.
For me still okay can live without LTE.

1 year to go...very fast over, cheers laugh.gif

Lte save more battery, and with i try with maxis prepaid, the phone will not as hot compared to digi 3g, and the bad thing is my area is not under unifi / tmnet coverage, thats why i use 3g quite heavy, normally 1 day charge 3 times zzz
