QUOTE(ziggyzaggy @ Jan 10 2014, 02:43 PM) Paying an upfront is a must and digi will deduct the upfront monthly into your bill. Example: upfront is RM672.00 , your package is 24 months (2year contract) monthly Digi will deduct RM28.00 from your bill that means RM672 devide into 24months. Put some common sense into it, you still save RM627.00 even if you pay upfront BECAUSE it will deduct back into your monthly bill for 2 years. QUOTE(ziggyzaggy @ Jan 10 2014, 03:53 PM) meaning you're merely paying it earlier lo..in actual fact the total amount that you need to pay is still the same. = didn't save anything wat EXAMPLELets take 16GB plan for example if you refer to the picture above: RSP 1 unit : RM2199 Digi 1 unit : RM2012 ( save RM187.00) RM 672.00 Upfront Divide 24 months ( Per month RM28.00 given back to you every month as a deduction to your bill) In total RM672.00 and RM187.00 = ( RM859.00 ) minus the actual phone price ( RM 2199 ) RM2199.00 -RM859.00 = (RM 1340.00.) <== Your iPhone price. Those above not saving is what dude? Monthly bill for sure must pay. They deduct your upfront back for you means you are getting back your money as well but not in cash , they deduct into your bill thats why you merely see any saving unless u get the cash on hand. QUOTE(prosibu @ Jan 11 2014, 12:09 AM) The so called saving is not what it is... Very straight forward calculation. The adv can be misunderstood as... RM1340 + upfront RM672 + RM60x24 months - rebate RM28x24months= RM2780 for 24 months (everyone will think the plan is RM60!!!) but reality is RM1340 + upfront RM672 + (88-28=60)x24 months = RM3452 for 24 months where you "SAVE" RM28 per month for your bill That is why i said, please calculate total amount you have to pay for 24 months, but not seeing DG wonderful calculation.... and OF COZ the upfront payment is preventing purchaser to RUN AWAY from paying... that is why every digi plan total payment during registration is almost same price with the device price! that means if anyone dun want to pay anymore after pay the 1st payment, DG will not lose any cent of money..... Phone: RM1399 Advance payment: RM672 ( deduct back to monthly bill) (88-28=60)x24 months is the total bill of 2years Digi paid to bank consumer pay to Digi. For 24 months will deduct from your credit card with 0% interest. Simple as that. For my case, i upgrade my previous plan for another 24 months + iPhone 5s RM1399 for the phone and advance payment only by cash. Same i have to pay the bill separately and they deduct back the advance payment from my bill. The difference is i dont have to fork out 88-28=60)x24 in advance. Digi calculation is very straightforward if compare to Maxis or Celcom. |

QUOTE(Connect2USales @ Jan 11 2014, 12:18 AM) good explanation.. but i really cannot understand the telcos in Malaysia.. advance payment wor.. they collect the money and go bank in FD is it? You set contract 2 years, if customer run, then just black list la.. all telcos cannot register line anymore till u pay up. i owe them 0.01 cents also they send sms said wanna suspend my line.. lol. So many consumer in whole Malaysia, if you are running your own telco business how many people can you blacklist? Is your "lost" not "gain". If the person is blacklist, he can get a new line from any telco with the help of friends or family members using their name and i/c. Lol! Thats why they do all these advance payment concept. Even you have to lost not getting back the advance payment and terminate your line before your contract ends also you will get a panalty. Just my 2cents. |
